In this work a traditional high entropy alloy (FeCoNiCrAl) was reinforced by uniformly distributed reactive silicon carbide (SiC) particles by a powder metallurgy synthetic route, using as precursors simply mixed powders or mechanically prealloyed ones. The reactive sintering produced a single isomorphic BCC structure. The sample microstructure resulted equiassic, more homogenous in samples based on prealloyed powders. The instability of SiC in the presence of metal precursors resulted in the formation of more stable carbides and silicides, as well as in carbon diffusion in the high entropy alloy matrix and partially unreacted SiC particles. The formation of these newly formed fine precipitates, as well as the presence of residual SiC were useful to increase the hardness of the alloy. 相似文献

The view that the investment function is characterized by a stable relationship is subjected to an objective statistical test. The test utilizes a statistic which equals the ratio of the sum of squared residuals of one-period prediction from the k + 1 period to the rth period to the sum of squared residuals of one period prediction from the k + 1 to the Tth period, where k is the number of estimated coefficients in the model and T is the sample size. The results for the period 1947–1979 suggest that the investment function at the macroeconomic level and for 8 of the 11 two-digit SIC industries considered became unstable in 1973. For the other two-digit SIC industries investigated, the results indicate no appreciable (statistically significant) change in the relative importance of the underlying investment determinants. 相似文献

AbstractCf/SiC composite was brazed to Ti alloy using interlayer of Ag–Cu–Ti–W mixed powder. The effects of W content and brazing parameters on the microstructure and properties of the brazed joints were investigated. The results show that W grains mainly distribute in Ag phase in the brazing layer and provide the effects of reinforcement and lowering residual thermal stress on the joint. The room temperature and 500°C shear strengths of the joints performed at 500°C for 30 min with Ag–Cu–Ti–50W (vol.-%) are remarkably higher than the optimal strengths of the joints brazed with Ag–Cu–Ti. 相似文献

AbstractCr–WC–SiC coatings were deposited from Cr(VI) baths containing a mixture of both WC and SiC particles in the ratio of 1 : 1. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data indicated relatively low percentages of both WC (about 2˙68–2˙85 at.-% of W4f) and SiC (0˙16–0˙45 at.-% of Si2p) particles in the top layers of the Cr–WC–SiC coatings. However, these particles have some effect on the morphology and corrosion properties of the Cr coating. Protective properties of the coatings obtained were studied at different exposure times of samples in sulphate solution (pH=2˙8), using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method (EIS). Equivalent circuits, based on the electrophysical model describing the electrochemical corrosion at the coated surface, were proposed. The simulation of EIS data with the proposed equivalent circuit models made it possible to reveal the details of the corrosion processes occurring at coated systems (steel/Cr–WC–SiC coatings) immersed in the sulphate solution. Based on EIS data, diffusion in the coating was found to be a significantly controlling factor in the corrosion process for the system under investigation. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests indicated a better corrosion resistance of Cr–WC–SiC coating than that of Cr. Analysis of the EIS data suggests that the enhanced corrosion resistance of Cr–WC–SiC coating was due to the microstructural features of these coatings, presumably containing smaller pores than Cr coating. 相似文献

AbstractAS52 based hybrid composites reinforced with aluminium borate whiskers and SiC particulates were fabricated by a squeeze casting method. In a hybrid preform, the volume fraction of the aluminium borate whisker was 15% and that of the SiC particulate was 5%. Microstructures of the specimens were observed using OM and SEM. In the hybrid composites, the Alborex whiskers were uniformly distributed in the matrix and a few agglomerations or clusters of SiC particulates were observed. Hardness and three point bending tests were carried out to measure the mechanical properties of the specimens. The mechanical properties of the hybrid composites were higher than those of whisker reinforced composites and the hybrid composite with finer size particulates showed higher strength than the one with coarse particulates. 相似文献

AbstractSiC particle preforms were infiltrated with spheroidal graphite cast iron melt by vacuum assisted casting in the sand mould, and spheroidal graphite cast iron composites in which the particles were dispersed in the surface region were fabricated. Although the melt infiltration was not accomplished when the melt was poured under atmospheric pressure, the infiltration was accomplished by the vacuum assisted casting when the SiC particle volume fraction and preform thickness were optimised. When the Si content of the cast iron was 2˙5 mass%, the phase consisting of mainly Fe3Si was formed at the particle/matrix interface due to the reaction between the cast iron melt and the particles during the infiltration. The matrix of the composite consisted of fine spheroidal graphite particles, ferrite, pearite and chill crystal. Although the increase in the Si content suppressed the reaction and chill, no infiltrated area was observed in the composite. 相似文献

We develop an efficient hard detector for multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) channels, which adaptively combines maximum‐likelihood detection (MLD) and minimum‐mean‐square error with a successive interference canceler together. Unlike the conventional joint combination scheme, which may suffer from considerable degradation in bit‐error‐rate (BER) performance over correlated channels and where only one data stream is detected by MLD, our proposed scheme adaptively controls the number of data streams to be detected by MLD based on an analytical characterization of reliability for the detection. Simulation results illustrate that near‐optimal BER performance can be obtained at much lower computational complexity by the proposed method as compared with existing techniques, regardless of the spatial correlation of the MIMO channels.
