Brief Overview of Recent Developments on Negative Phase–Velocity Mediums (alias Left–Handed Materials)

This brief overview covers a rapidly occurring development in the area of microwave composite materials: isotropic dielectric–magnetic mediums wherein the phase velocity vector and the time–averaged Poynting vector are oppositely directed. Such materials have also been inappropriately designated as left–handed materials. Ramifications for aberration–free lenses, homogenization approaches, and complex mediums are also presented.     

Electron transport in direct methanol fuel cells

A three-dimensional (3D), two-phase, isothermal model of direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) was employed to investigate effects of electron transport through the backing layer and the land in bipolar plates. It was found that the electronic resistance of the backing layer, affected by backing layer electronic conductivity, backing layer thickness and flow channel width, played a relatively important role in determining the current density distribution and cell performance. In order to ignore the electron transport effect on the average current density, the minimum electronic conductivity of the backing layer has to be 1000 S m⁻¹, with the relative error in the average current density less than 5%, under the given conditions.     

Analyzing subjectivity in therapeutic discourse: Rogers, Perls, Ellis, and Gloria revisited.

Analyzed the film Three Approaches to Psychotherapy (E. L. Shostrom, 1966), which depicts C. Rogers (client-centered therapy), A. Ellis (rational-emotive therapy), and F. S. Perls (Gestalt therapy) interviewing the same client, Gloria. Verbal exchanges between participants were analyzed, using T. S. Essig and R. L. Russell's (1988) categories for analyzing psychological relations between subjects and events in discourse. Predictable patterns in how therapists of different theoretical orientations represent subjectivity in discourse can be screened with these categories. Classification categories are appended. RAFNet: RGB-D attention feature fusion network for indoor semantic segmentation

Semantic segmentation based on the complementary information from RGB and depth images has recently gained great popularity, but due to the difference between RGB and depth maps, how to effectively use RGB-D information is still a problem. In this paper, we propose a novel RGB-D semantic segmentation network named RAFNet, which can selectively gather features from the RGB and depth information. Specifically, we construct an architecture with three parallel branches and propose several complementary attention modules. This structure enables a fusion branch and we add the Bi-directional Multi-step Propagation (BMP) strategy to it, which can not only retain the feature streams of the original RGB and depth branches but also fully utilize the feature flow of the fusion branch. There are three kinds of complementary attention modules that we have constructed. The RGB-D fusion module can effectively extract important features from the RGB and depth branch streams. The refinement module can reduce the loss of semantic information and the context aggregation module can help propagate and integrate information better. We train and evaluate our model on NYUDv2 and SUN-RGBD datasets, and prove that our model achieves state-of-the-art performances.

提出并研制成一种新型硅三端负阻器件。该器件由一n沟耗尽型MOS管、一横向pnp双极晶体管和一个电阻集成而得。它具有“双负阻”特性和正阻区阻值易于控制等特点。由理论计算出的器件I_c—V_(CB)特性和负阻参数与实验结果符合良好。     

耐腐蚀高压柱塞泵用新型双相不锈钢的研究

叙述了新型双相不锈钢－ＷＳＤ钢的组织及其耐蚀性能。试验结果表明，ＷＳＤ钢在氯化物介显示出优异耐蚀性能，其抗点蚀性能远超过Ｃｒ１３，１８－８Ｔｉ，３１６Ｌ等钢种，达到国外Ａｌ－６Ｘ，ＳＡＦ２２０５等钢种的水平。

单螺杆挤出过程的数值模拟

以三段七区物理模型为基础，采用面向对象程序设计语言VisualC ，对整个单螺杆挤出过程进行了数值模拟。所得压力。温度等工艺参数的模拟结果与实验值吻合较好，说明采用数学模型的正确性和数值算法的可行性。
