"Interactive use of lexical information in speech perception": Correction to Connine and Clifton.

Reports an error in "Interactive use of lexical information in speech perception" by Cynthia M. Connine and Charles Clifton (Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance, 1987[May], Vol 13[2], 291-299). In the aforementioned article, Figures 1 and 2 were inadvertently transposed. The figure on p. 294 is actually Figure 2, and the figure on p. 296 is actually Figure 1. The captions are correct as they stand. (The following abstract of the original article appeared in record 1987-23984-001.) Two experiments are reported that demonstrate contextual effects on identification of speech voicing continua. Experiment 1 demonstrated the infuence of lexical knowledge on identification of ambiguous tokens from word–nonword and nonword–word continua. Reaction times for word and nonword responses showed a word advantage only for ambiguous stimulus tokens (at the category boundary); no word advantage was found for clear stimuli (at the continua endpoints). Experiment 2 demonstrated an effect of a postperceptual variable, monetary payoff, on nonword–nonword continua. Identification responses were influenced by monetary payoff, but reaction times for bias-consistent and bias-inconsistent responses did not differ at the category boundary. 反渗透膜仓用韧性环氧树脂基体研究

工业上广泛使用反渗透膜仓制备高纯水,为了用玻璃钢替代不锈钢,研究了一种适合湿法缠绕的反渗透膜仓用韧性环氧基体。在配方中采用液体酸酐固化剂甲基四氢邻苯二甲酸酐和高效活性增韧剂,对树脂基体和复合材料力学性能及耐水性能的研究表明该树脂基体具有许多优良性能,如拉伸强度≥86.2MPa,断裂延伸率≥5.2%,弯曲强度≥139MPa,制得膜仓爆破时纤维强度转化率高达88.7%,耐疲劳达10万次而无损伤。此外,配方体系室温下粘度为0.35～0.4Pa·s,适用期≥8h,室温下在水中浸泡180d后吸水率低于0.5%,同不锈钢相比成本降低1/2。实验结果表明,该韧性环氧基体完全适用于反渗透膜仓使用。

A VLSI architecture for a half-edge-based corner detector

Corner detection is a low-level feature detection operator that is of great use in image processing applications, for example, optical flow and structure from motion by image correspondence. The detection of corners is a computationally intensive operation. Past implementations of corner detection techniques have been restricted to software. In this paper we propose an efficient very large-scale integration (VLSI) architecture for detection of corners in images. The corner detection technique is based on the half-edge concept and the first directional derivative of Gaussian. Apart from the location of the corner points, the algorithm also computes the corner orientation and the corner angle and outputs the edge map of the image. The symmetrical properties of the masks are utilized to reduce the number of convolutions effectively, from eight to two. Therefore, the number of multiplications required per pixel is reduced from 1800 to 392. Thus, the proposed architecture yields a speed-up factor of 4.6 over conventional convolution architectures. The architecture uses the principles of pipelining and parallelism and can be implemented in VLSI.

通过对比混凝土四面体与特大块石这两种截流材料的抗冲稳定性和施工的方便性,分析了混凝土四面体截流材料在工程应用中存在的问题。指出:①混凝土四面体密度、综合稳定系数、化引球形粒径都偏小,在龙口的抗冲稳定性不如特大块石;②混凝土四面体制作麻烦,成本高,占地面积大,装运困难,抛投强度低,施工不如特大块石方便;③在截流施工中宜优先使用特大块石,慎用混凝土四面体。

利用三星公司生产的S3CA510B这款32位ARM7TDMI单片机构建一个应用系统，利用开发软件ARM SDT v2．51，在开发应用系统上实现存储器地址重映射、中断控制、串行通信、液晶、键盘接口。在此基础上，在S3CA510B上嵌入操作系统μC／OS-Ⅱ，用于液晶、键盘接口和多任务管理，为32住单片机的进一步开发应用构造了一个平台。     

INDIRECT ACCELERATED ADAPTIVE FUZZY CONTROLLER

According to a type of normal nonlinear system, an indirect adaptive fuzzy （IAF） controller has been applied to those systems where no accurate mathematical models of the systems under control are available. To satisfy with system performance, an indirect accelerated adaptive fuzzy （IAAF） controller is proposed, and its general form is presented. The general form IAAF controller ensures necessary control criteria and system＇s global stability using Lyapunov Theorem. It has been proved that the close-loop system error converges to a small neighborhood of equilibrium point. The optimal IAAF controller is derived to guarantee the process＇s shortest settling time. Simulation results indicate the IAAF controller make the system more stable, accurate, and fast.     

On solving systems of ordinary differential equations on MIMD-computers

The error of solution of Cauchy problems for systems of ordinary differential equations is estimated in the case where the input data are approximate. It is shown how to prepare a program for computing the right-hand sides of the system automatically and simultaneously.
