An opportunity arose in 1985 to become involved in a transition of working practice from hard copy to VDT. Over a two-year period, 161 VDT users and 65 control subjects in the same office environment were regularly and routinely examined for symptoms of asthenopia. The analysis of data shows that there are no significant differences in type, number and frequency of the work-related symptoms between VDT users and non-VDT users. It appears that reporting of symptoms within the group may be random, although certain symptoms do appear more frequently than others. Additionally, it appears that there is a significant difference between male and female users in the frequency of symptom reporting. 相似文献

With the introduction of correlation filtering (CF), the performance of visual object tracking is significantly improved. Circular shifts collecting samples is a key component of the CF tracker, and it also causes negative boundary effects. Most trackers add spatial regularization to alleviate boundary effects well. However, these trackers ignore the effect of environmental changes on tracking performance, and the filter discriminates poorly in the background interference. Here, to break these limitations, we propose a new correlation filter model, namely Environmental Perception with Spatial Regularization Correlation Filter for Visual Tracking. Specifically, we use the Average Peak to Correlation Energy (APCE) and the response value error between the two frames together to perceive environmental changes, which adjusts the learning rate to make the template more adaptable to environmental changes. To enhance the discriminatory capability of the filter, we use real background information as negative samples to train the filter model. In addition, the introduction of the regular term destroys the closed solution of CF, and this problem can be effectively solved by the use of the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). Extensive experimental evaluations on three large tracking benchmarks are performed, which demonstrate the good performance of the proposed method over some of the state-of-the-art trackers. 相似文献

Immersion in virtual reality is still linked to symptoms of visual fatigue such as eye strain, dizziness, and overall discomfort. Studies have investigated visual fatigue through pre- and post-immersion tests of the visual function. In this work, we extend on our previous study and derive a visual fatigue likelihood metric using biomechanical analysis. Previously, we have investigated the effect of VR on the vergence system during immersion. The proposed visual fatigue metric exhibited a significant correlation to vergence angle variability which was previously linked to vergence accommodation conflict in VR. A new visual servo control scheme for a robotic manipulator is presented in this paper, where a back propagation (BP) neural network is used to make a direct transition from image feature to joint angles without requiring robot kinematics and camera calibration. To speed up the convergence and avoid local minimum of the neural network, this paper uses a genetic algorithm to find the optimal initial weights and thresholds and then uses the BP algorithm to train the neural network according to the data given. The proposed method can effectively combine the good global searching ability of genetic algorithms with the accurate local searching feature of BP neural network. The Simulink model for PUMA560 robot visual servo system based on the improved BP neural network is built with the Robotics Toolbox of Matlab. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method can accelerate convergence of the image errors and provide a simple and effective way of robot control. 相似文献

This paper introduces a new method of adapting the virtual world of an offline programming model to an actual robotic cell by attaching a CCD camera to the robot. This method requires no specific camera attachment location or optical camera calibration. Furthermore, there is no operational requirement for setting robotic camera location. Robot motion is autonomously generated to identify the camera view line. The view line is adjusted to pass through the designated target point, utilizing visual feedback motion control.
