The world of information technology is more than ever being flooded with huge amounts of data, nearly 2.5 quintillion bytes every day. This large stream of data is called big data, and the amount is increasing each day. This research uses a technique called sampling, which selects a representative subset of the data points, manipulates and analyzes this subset to identify patterns and trends in the larger dataset being examined, and finally, creates models. Sampling uses a small proportion of the original data for analysis and model training, so that it is relatively faster while maintaining data integrity and achieving accurate results. Two deep neural networks, AlexNet and DenseNet, were used in this research to test two sampling techniques, namely sampling with replacement and reservoir sampling. The dataset used for this research was divided into three classes: acceptable, flagged as easy, and flagged as hard. The base models were trained with the whole dataset, whereas the other models were trained on 50% of the original dataset. There were four combinations of model and sampling technique. The F-measure for the AlexNet model was 0.807 while that for the DenseNet model was 0.808. Combination 1 was the AlexNet model and sampling with replacement, achieving an average F-measure of 0.8852. Combination 3 was the AlexNet model and reservoir sampling. It had an average F-measure of 0.8545. Combination 2 was the DenseNet model and sampling with replacement, achieving an average F-measure of 0.8017. Finally, combination 4 was the DenseNet model and reservoir sampling. It had an average F-measure of 0.8111. Overall, we conclude that both models trained on a sampled dataset gave equal or better results compared to the base models, which used the whole dataset. 相似文献

The emergence of distributed generators has changed the operational mode and fault characteristics of the distribu
tion network, in a way which can severely influence protection. This paper proposes a d-axis-based current differential
protection scheme. The d-axis current characteristics of inverter-interfaced distributed generators and synchronous
generators are analyzed. The differential protection criterion using sampling values of the d-axis current component
is then constructed. Compared to conventional phase-based current differential protection, the proposed protection
reduces the number of required communication channels, and is suitable for distribution networks with inverter
interfaced distributed generators with complex fault characteristics. Finally, a 10 kV active distribution network model
is built in the PSCAD platform and protection prototypes are developed in RTDS. Superior sensitivity and fast speed

在直接处理点云的三维神经网络中,采样阶段实现了对原始点云中关键点的筛选,对于整个网络的性能及网络的抗噪能力具有重要作用。目前主流的最远点采样(FPS)方法在处理大规模3D点云数据时计算量大且耗时,并且低采样率时经过FPS采样后模型性能下降明显。针对这两个问题,提出一种面向低采样率的点云数据处理网络AS-Net。设计一个新的采样模块代替原backbone中的FPS,其由两个Layer组成,每个Layer基于长短期记忆网络获取原始点云与采样点云之间的联系权重,从而高效提取关键信息,去除冗余信息。在此基础上,利用注意力机制选择特征值较高的原始点云作为采样点,采样点作为后序任务的关键点输入到网络,进一步提高网络模型性能。基于ModelNet40数据集的实验结果表明,在低采样率条件下,AS-Net仍可达到81.6%的分类准确率,与使用FPS作为采样方法的网络模型相比提高52.7%。此外,其对噪声干扰具有很强的鲁棒性,对于大场景的分割时间效率优于同类采样方法。 相似文献

Hysteresis normally exhibited by mechanical systems and materials is so prevalent that its response prediction under random excitation has been extensively investigated for decades. Nevertheless, the transient solution of the response, which is crucial for assessing the system’s reliability, is still a challenging topic that requires additional development. To this regard, this work proposes a semi-analytical method using the radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) to attain the transient probability density distribution of the randomly excited Bouc–Wen system. Specifically, the trial solution of the corresponding FPK equation is configured as the RBFNN with undetermined time-varying weight coefficients. By discretizing the time derivative with the Euler difference method, a loss function with time recurrence is derived and minimized to yield the time-varying optimal weight coefficients through the optimization method. Additionally, an optimized sampling strategy is adopted to reduce the burden of calculation. Finally, the Bouc–Wen hysteretic systems with softening and hardening nonlinearity are considered to investigate the performance of the adopted technique. The numerical results have shown that the evaluation process of the probability density functions(PDFs) can be captured well with sufficient accuracy and efficiency. The proposed efficient sampling technique can provide considerable efficiency improvement for the medium dimension system. The standard continuous time state space model with stochastic disturbances contains the mathematical abstraction of continuous time white noise. To work with well defined, discrete time observations, it is necessary to sample the model with care. The basic issues are well known, and have been discussed in the literature. However, the consequences have not quite penetrated the practice of estimation and identification. One example is that the standard model of an observation, being a snapshot of the current state plus noise independent of the state, cannot be reconciled with this picture. Another is that estimation and identification of time continuous models require a more careful treatment of the sampling formulas. We discuss and illustrate these issues in the current contribution. Reinterpretable Imager: Towards Variable Post‐Capture Space,Angle and Time Resolution in Photography
We describe a novel multiplexing approach to achieve tradeoffs in space, angle and time resolution in photography. We explore the problem of mapping useful subsets of time‐varying 4D lightfields in a single snapshot. Our design is based on using a dynamic mask in the aperture and a static mask close to the sensor. The key idea is to exploit scene‐specific redundancy along spatial, angular and temporal dimensions and to provide a programmable or variable resolution tradeoff among these dimensions. This allows a user to reinterpret the single captured photo as either a high spatial resolution image, a refocusable image stack or a video for different parts of the scene in post‐processing. A lightfield camera or a video camera forces a‐priori choice in space‐angle‐time resolution. We demonstrate a single prototype which provides flexible post‐capture abilities not possible using either a single‐shot lightfield camera or a multi‐frame video camera. We show several novel results including digital refocusing on objects moving in depth and capturing multiple facial expressions in a single photo. 相似文献

This work explores MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) potentialities to fabricate AC voltage references through mechanical-electrical transduction that could be used for high precision electrical metrology and for applications in miniaturized instrumentation. AC voltage reference ranging from 5 V to 90 V have been designed and fabricated using the same Epitaxial Silicon On Insulator (SOI) surface micromachining process allowing an accurate control of both dimensions and material properties. The measured MEMS AC voltage reference values have been found in a good agreement with CoventorWare calculations. This paper addresses the sampling period scheduling of Networked Control Systems (NCSs) with multiple control loops. The generalized exponential function is employed to describe Integral Absolute Error (IAE) performance versus sampling period by Truetime toolbox under Matlab environment, and the sampling periods are scheduled to obtain the optimal integrated performance based on Kuhn–Tucker Theorem, which are subject to the stability of every control loop and the bandwidth on available network resource.
