The characterization of thin, selectively imprinted films of nylon‐6 was performed. Amino acids were used as template molecules. Spin‐cast films were prepared with sizes ranging from 2 μm to 300 nm, depending on the nylon and template concentration in the casting solution. The morphological characteristics of the film surface were examined by atomic force microscopy, and the structure within the films was observed by freeze‐fracture scanning electron microscopy. The film activity was clearly coordinated with the appearance of nanometer‐sized pores both on the surface and within the film. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. By the use of atomic force microscopy (AFM), formation mechanism of nodular structure in cellulose acetate membranes was systematically investigated. Elementary factors affecting the nodule formation were delineated on the basis of both kinetic and thermodynamic considerations. It was shown that (1) the exact nature of nodular structure is thermodynamic equilibrium glassy state; nodular structure will vanish in the rubbery state; (2) the thermodynamic factor affecting nodule formation is the membrane formation temperature; with the membrane formation temperature decreasing, more chain segments are able to form nodular structures; (3) nodule formation is dependent on the segment rearrangement; variation of the solvent environment is the major kinetic factor affecting the segment rearrangement and nodule formation. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Polymer clay nanocomposites (PCN) of Polyamide6 and sodium montmorillonite are prepared using different organic modifiers (12‐aminolauric acid, n‐dodecylamine, and 1,12‐diaminododecane) to study effect of organic modifiers on structure and nanomechanical properties of PCN. Using X‐ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry, crystalline nature of PCNs are evaluated. Nanoscale viscoelastic properties of PCNs are evaluated using nanodynamic mechanical analyzer (NanoDMA). Nanoscale elastic modulus and hardness of PCNs are evaluated using nanoindenter. PCNs show enhancement in elastic modulus, storage modulus, loss modulus, and loss factor by maximum amount of 62.88%, 56.38%, 145.74%, and 71.43%, respectively, and decrease in percentage crystallinity by 16.52% compared to pure polymer. This result indicates that organic modifiers have effect on crystallinity and nanomechanical properties of PCN. To evaluate effect of clay loading on nanomechanical properties of PCN, PCN containing 12‐aminolauric acid is synthesized with different weight percent (3, 6, and 9% of weight of polymer) of organically modified montmorillonite (OMMT), which shows that nanomechanical properties of PCN improves with increase in clay loading. Our study reveals that change in crystallinity of polymer in PCN may have role in the enhancement of nanomechanical properties of PCNs in comparison to pristine polymer. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. SERF态原子磁强计已实现人类历史上最高的0.16fT/Hz1/2的灵敏度。其检测方法主要是法拉第调制法。但法拉第调制法中光电流摄动或环境温度变化等干扰导致的检测光强的起伏会造成检测结果的不准确。为抑制检测光强起伏,设计了闭环原子磁强计检测光稳定系统。在法拉第调制法的基础上,增加了光路子系统和控制子系统对检测光强进行闭环稳定控制。通过对随机干扰进行闭环控制仿真与实验,验证本系统可以有效抑制各种干扰引起的光强起伏,使系统抗干扰能力提高1.2%,从而提高原子磁强计的检测精度。 相似文献

Structured dispersion particles suitable for pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) were synthesized via swelling polymerization technique (EP 359562). Particles consisting of poly(n‐butyl acrylate) copolymerized with different types of carboxylic acids were used as seeds. The final particles were synthesized by swelling polymerization process, using 6 wt % styrene or 6 wt % methyl methacylate. The resulting particle morphology was analyzed by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). From previous works (Coll Surf A 2001, 183–185, 725–737; J Appl Polym Sci 2004, 91, 2610–2623) where two‐step emulsion polymerization was used on similar particles, it is expected that the particle morphology is affected by the polarity of the monomer used for swelling polymerization because of the phase compatibility (thermodynamic parameter). In this work, the seed particles used were always of a glass transition temperature (Tg) below polymerization temperature. The diffusion of the growing polymer chains from the swelling polymerization is therefore mainly affected by their own Tg and the influence of the carboxy groups on the chain length of the entering radicals (kinetic parameter). The different morphologies of the single particles are discussed qualitatively. The effects of reaction parameters are compared with the results given in the previous work. The structure of the corresponding dispersion films was characterized using AFM. Correlations to macroscopic properties such as the cohesive strength and peel adhesion to different substrates are discussed. The results are also compared with the application properties of the corresponding unmodified particles, statistical copolymers, and to blends with small sized PMMA or PS particles. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol was investigated on PtRu electrodes of different atomic compositions at several temperatures (from 25 to 110 °C). Very active catalyst nanoparticles supported on active carbon (Vulcan XC 72) were obtained using the colloidal synthesis developed by Bönnemann et al. [11], allowing easy variation of the atomic composition. These electrocatalysts were characterized by TEM, EDX and XRD; results indicate that they consist of platinum nanoparticles decorated by ruthenium. Methanol oxidation was studied as a function of composition, temperature and methanol concentration. Two effects were investigated: the effect of the working temperature and the effect of the atomic composition. It appeared that for lower methanol electrooxidation overvoltages, the best catalysts are ruthenium-rich, whereas at higher overvoltages the best one is the Pt + Ru (80:20)/C composition, irrespective of the working temperature, either in half-cell or in a single DMFC. 相似文献
