Studies on the corrosion behavior of cerium-implanted zircaloy-4 with GAXRD

In order to study the influence of cerium ion implantation on the aqueous corrosion behavior of zircaloy-4, specimens were implanted by cerium ions with a fluence range from 1×10¹⁶ to 1×10¹⁷ ions/cm² at maximum 150°C, using MEVVA source at an extracted voltage of 40 kV. The valence and elements penetration distribution of the surface layer were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and auger electron spectroscopy (AES) respectively. Glancing angle X-ray diffraction (GAXRD) was employed to examine the phase transformation due to the cerium ion implantation in the oxide films. Three-sweep potentiodynamic polarization measurement was employed to value the aqueous corrosion resistance of zircaloy-4 in a 1 N H₂SO₄ solution. It was found that a significant improvement in the aqueous corrosion behavior of zircaloy-4 implanted with cerium ions compared with that of the as-received zircaloy-4. The improvement effect will declined with raising the implantation fluence. The bigger is the fluence, the less is the improvement. Finally, the mechanism of the corrosion behavior of the cerium-implanted zircaloy-4 is discussed.

Transformations in machining. Part 1. enhancement of wavelet transformation neural network (WT-NN) combination with a preprocessor

Properly selected transformation methods obtain the most significant characteristics of metal cutting data efficiently and simplify the classification. Wavelet Transformation (WT) and Neural Networks (NN) combination was used to classify the experimental cutting force data of milling operations previously. Preprocessing (PreP) of the approximation coefficients of the WT is proposed just before the classification by using the Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART2) type NNs. Genetic Algorithm (GA) was used to estimate the weights of each coefficient of the PreP. The WT-PreP-NN (ART2) combination worked at lower vigilances by creating only a few meaningful categories without any errors. The WT-NN (ART2) combination could obtain the same error rate only if very high vigilances are used and many categories are allowed.     

锰锌铁氧体纳米粉体的液相制备及磁性能

以δ-FeOOH为前驱体,用氨水调节溶液的pH值,分别采用(1)90℃水浴加热动态转化、(2)沸腾回流动态转化,(3)90℃静态转化及(4)200℃水热法四种方法合成了锰锌铁氧体纳米粉体.采用X射线衍射仪(XRD),透射电子显微镜(TEM)、振动样品磁强计(VSM)和X射线荧光光谱仪(XRF)等方法对粉体进行了表征,对四种液相法制备的锰锌铁氧体纳米粉体的结构和性能等进行了对比和分析.结果表明,四种方法中沸腾回流相转化法得到的产物具有磁性能较好、形状较规则、粒径可控等优点.

自适应相干噪声衰减技术

去除噪声是必需的地震数据处理过程。由于地表条件和地震波激发、传播以及接收条件等诸多方面的原因，时常引起地震记录上出现各种相干干扰波。本文主要针对地震数据处理中地震剖面上存在的各种相干噪声，提出了时问一空间域自适应相干噪声衰减技术，以进行信噪分离。这种方法把噪声在整个处理平面上的视速度近似看作常量(正值或负值)，可以有效地消除地震剖面上的线性噪声、面波以及多次波等，并且对信号的保真度高。本文方法是复杂地区低信噪比地震数据处理的一种理想的噪声去除方法，具有运算速度快、压制噪声效果好等优点。     

Effect of thermophoresis on particle deposition rate from a natural convection flow onto a vertical wavy plate

This research discusses the impacts of the surface area that the wavy surface gets more than the flat plate upon the aerosol particle deposition. Starting from the full Navier–Stokes equation, the mathematical analysis takes the thermophoretic motion formed by the temperature gradient and the fluid thermal expansion into consideration, and converts the governing equations into the boundary layer equation by the simple coordinate transformation and non-similarity method, and then works out these equations by the Spline Alternating-Direction Implicit method (SADI). The numerical value result reveals that the average deposition effect of the wavy plate is greater than the flat plate and that the increasing rate is nearly equal to the value obtained by dividing the surface area that the wavy plate gets more than the flat plate by 2.2.     

ROI-based Watermarking Scheme for JPEG 2000

A new region of interest (ROI)-based watermarking method for JPEG 2000 is presented. The watermark is embedded into the host image based on the characteristics of the ROI to protect rights to the images. This scheme integrates the watermarking process with JPEG 2000 compression procedures. Experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed watermark technique successfully survives JPEG 2000 compression, progressive transmission, and principal attacks.
