Home,the culture of nature and meanings of gardens in late modernity

The growth in the provision of gardens has been an important feature of housing in the UK during the 20th century, and yet the significance of the humble domestic garden has been neglected in studies of housing and home. This paper examines the role of the garden in the meaning of home, and draws on theoretical discussions of nature, environmental risk and social uncertainty in late modernity. Secondary empirical data is used to investigate the changing uses of gardens and practices of gardening. A survey of garden owners provides primary empirical data to examine meanings of gardens and personal experiences of nature. The paper concludes that the garden is an important site for privacy, sociability and sensual connections to nature, and these activities can be understood as negotiations and practices to address the social and environmental paradoxes of late modern life.

钓鱼台是北京著名的园林古迹之一,台座和建筑尚完好。1959年在此周围建起国宾馆,养源斋、西园,成为闻名中外的“钓鱼台宾馆”。养源斋的设计原则是(1）保持中国园林建筑的特点,按清朝行宫的规格并与原有建筑协调一致;2）在遵照旧制的同时又要着意改革、创新,以满足现代使用要求;3）保护原有自然环境,尽量少伐或不伐树,特别是古树一棵不能伐。西园的设计原则是将现有建筑改为一套仿清式行宫的高级客房。庭园设计采用了理水和护岸的做法,桥和道路也都各具特色。

中国园林的艺术成就在传统建筑中占有重要的地位。它被誉为世界园林之母，得益于在美学上的特殊艺术追求。为此着重从崇尚自然、追求意境两方面分析了中国园林的美学观，以求了解古代造园家的创作思想及艺术手法。     

新升本科院校园林专业实践改革的研究

就2000年各高等院校扩招后,新升本科院校园林专业生源质量明显下降、参差不齐且专业实践教学建设跟不上,给教学质量的保证带来了许多新的问题的背景下,提出了新的实践教学改革思路,并通过多年的实践证明,该思路行之有效。     

Resveratrol: a review of plant sources,synthesis, stability,modification and food application

Resveratrol, a stilbene molecule belonging to the polyphenol family, is usually extracted from a great many natural plants. The technologies of preparation and extraction methods are developing rapidly. As resveratrol has many beneficial properties, it has been widely utilized in food and medicine industry. In terms of its structure, it is susceptible to degradation and can undergo chemical changes during food processing. Different studies have therefore given more attention to various aspects of resveratrol, including anti-aging, anti-oxidant, and anti-cancer activity. This review classifies the study of resveratrol, considers plant sources, synthesis, stability, common reactions, and food applications, and provides references to boost its food and medical utilization. © 2019 Society of Chemical Industry     

Pioneer studies in trace element contamination of the food chain: disregard of prior work risks re‐inventing the wheel

Current publications tend to make little reference to early work in their field. The study of the contamination of the food chain by trace elements is no exception. It is suggested that among the reasons for the lack of early citations are the reliance on library databases, the need to keep lists of references concise, and increased specialisation. The contributions of the main pioneers are reviewed together with the principal areas of early investigation, namely trace elements in urban gardens, non‐ferrous metal‐mining spoil, sewage sludge and from atmospheric deposition. An outline is given of the development of the analytical methods that allowed accurate and rapid determination of trace elements. It is concluded that the disregard of the early period work results not only in its omission from university courses but in repetition of research. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry     

中国传统城市结构的"二元对立统一律"

中国传统城市结构中存在着园林(自然要素集合)和城池(人工要素集合)二元对立统一的有机结合.这种结构特征发生的根源在于中国城市在早期具有独立自在性,决定了生产性的"园、圃、苑、囿"成为城市重要的组成部分,随后"园、圃、苑、囿"演变为园林艺术,继续作为城市的有机成分而不可或缺.

苦皮藤素乳油对三种储粮害虫的熏蒸作用

采用密闭熏蒸法研究了苦皮藤素乳油对储粮害虫的熏蒸作用。研究结果表明,处理24h后,苦皮藤素乳油对玉米象、赤拟谷盗和锯谷盗的LD50分别为3.606 97、2.773 78和2.048 87μg/ml;玉米象、赤拟谷盗和锯谷盗的回归方程分别为Y=3.972 64 X+2.786 68、Y=4.319 64 X+3.086 09和Y=4.095 70 X+3.724 13。三种储粮害虫对苦皮藤素乳油的敏感度由强到弱依次为锯谷盗、赤拟谷盗、玉米象。
