Human–computer collaboration is extremely necessary for solving ill-structured problems and critic systems can effectively facilitate human–computer collaborative problem solving. This paper conducts a systematic study on critic systems. First, the concepts of critic systems are presented. Then, a literature review is presented on critic systems. Afterwards, a generic architecture is put forward for critic systems, with its important aspects being analyzed. Finally, two case studies are given to illustrate critic systems.  相似文献

Abstract Empirical studies and theory suggest that educational dialogue can be used to support learners in the development of reasoning, critical thinking and argumentation. This paper presents an educational design for synchronous online peer discussion that guides student dialogue in ways that lead to improved argumentation and collaborative knowledge development. This design includes a mediating interface – or tool, linked to a broader set of online educational activities – a designed local context, where the latter aims to provide conditions that support argumentation. The approach is based on collaborative working and dialogue game approaches to discussion. Preliminary findings with UK Open University students showed the argumentation process was more coherent, varied, deeper and extended when using our interaction design compared with the use of a simple unstructured interface.  相似文献

As distance education courses increasingly move to the online environment, librarians are discovering new challenges and opportunities for reaching distant students. Collaboration with faculty is essential in reaching students who may never enter the library building. One such method of collaboration is librarian participation in online courses through “lurking” in Blackboard and Desire2Learn classrooms and monitoring discussion threads devoted to library research. Advantages such as improved access to students, course content, and assessment data are discussed, as are disadvantages, such as time commitment, varying expectations, and privacy issues. Considerations for librarians interested in “lurking” are outlined.  相似文献

Computer graphics are used by architects mainly for presentation purposes. However, the rapid pace of the development of computer technology enables more creative applications. This research proposes the use of dynamically simulated computer graphics as an evaluation tool for architectural design. Since buildings are living entities, whole life cycles of buildings should be dynamically simulated in highly visualised virtual environments to evaluate the future performance of prospective designs. Two areas that seem especially promising for near future (evaluation of user-building interaction and visualisation of environmental factors) are mentioned and some proposals are presented for the future use of dynamic simulations in virtual environments.  相似文献

Information system development can be considered a collaboration between users and developers. The inability to leverage the localized knowledge embedded in these two stakeholders hinders software development work to achieve high performance. Exploring the ways to counter this difficulty is then critical. This study applies an intellectual capital perspective to address the issues around spanning the knowledge boundary between developers and users. Our findings highlighted how important effective knowledge boundary spanning is to both product and project quality. Furthermore, three dimensions of intellectual capital increased the degree to which knowledge boundary spanning was effective.  相似文献

开源软件社区中开发者是流动的,有效识别出核心开发者并对其采取保护措施能够更好地促进社区集体智慧涌现.以开源软件项目AngularJS为例,通过获取开发者在GitHub上的提交记录,抽取开发者协作关系构建知识协作网络,运用社会网络分析的方法,在原有度中心性和介数中心性指标的基础上,将开发者节点的社团结构考虑进来提出新的评价指标.采用TOPSIS多属性决策方法进行核心开发者识别.仿真模拟核心开发者的流失,探究识别效果.研究发现:考虑社团结构的指标和以往指标识别出的核心开发者具有较大的相似性,和真实名单对比均具有一定的准确性,但在重要性排序上考虑社团结构的指标体系识别效果更显著.  相似文献

This article discusses providing information literacy to interior design students, specifically how over a few years, and several assignment iterations, we moved from a more traditional one-shot library instruction session to a creative Association of College and Research Libraries Framework-inspired assignment using Pinterest as the medium for the students' professionally relevant research project. The outcome of our instruction relied on flexible assignment planning, collaboration as faculty and librarians changed roles, and a focus on information literacy skills needed by professional designers.  相似文献
