The Metal-Dielectric Resonator Method of Measuring the Parameters of Radio Materials

The use of symmetrical H- and E-modes and asymmetrical E-modes in a longitudinally anisotropic dielectric cylinder with metal mirrors at the ends to measure its permittivity and dielectric loss tangent is considered. It is shown that the method has wider possibilities compared with the IEC-61338 recommendations. The results of a measurement of the dielectric parameters of a number of materials in the 2–78 GHz frequency band, including the permittivity tensor of sapphire, are presented. __________ Translated from Izmeritel'naya Tekhnika, No. 9, pp. 65–70, September, 2005.     

Rolling and swaying motion estimation for a mobile robot by using omnidirectional optical flows

Described here is a method for estimating rolling and swaying motions of a mobile robot using optical flow. We have proposed an image sensor with a hyperboloidal mirror for the vision-based navigation of a mobile robot. Its name is HyperOmni Vision. The radial component of optical flow in HyperOmni Vision has a periodic characteristic. The circumferential component of optical flow has a symmetric characteristic. The proposed method makes use of these characteristic to estimate robustly the rolling and swaying motion of the mobile robot. Correspondence to: Y. Yagi e-mail: y-yagi@sys.es.osaka-u.ac.jp

新试剂2-(2''''-苯并噻唑偶氮)-1,8-二羟基-3,6-萘二磺酸与钛(Ⅳ)和 CTMAB 形成三元络合物显色反应的研究

在阳离子表面活性剂ＣＴＭＡＢ存在下，２－（２′－苯并噻唑偶氮）－１，８－二羟基－３，６－苯二磺酸与钛（Ⅳ）在ｐＨ３．５～４．５范围内发生高灵敏的显色反应，形成一种蓝色的三元胶束络合物，其最大吸收波长位于６５０ｎｍ，表观摩尔吸光系数ε＝１．２２×１０５·Ｌ·ｃｍ－１。络合物中钛（Ⅳ）与显色剂的组成比为１：２，钛含量在０～８．０μｇ／２５ｍＬ范围内符从比尔定律。间用于铝合金中微量钛的测定，结果满意。

An Attempt at the Classification of Energy Decaying Schemes for Structural and Multibody Dynamics

This paper analyzes the formulation of energy preserving/decaying schemes for dynamics problems. We argue that any energy preserving/decaying scheme can always be seen as composed of an underlying temporal discretization, that is then slightly modified in order to prove a discrete energy bound within a time step. While the details of the modified scheme depend in a critical way on the governing equations, the underlying discretization can in principle be applied to a variety of models. We review some of the temporal underlying schemes recently proposed in the literature, presenting them with a common notation. We show their similarities and highlight their differences.
