A Cross-Cultural Investigation of the Efficacy Beliefs of South Asian Immigrant and Anglo Canadian Nonimmigrant Early Adolescents.

The author explored the mathematics efficacy beliefs of 270 South Asian (Indo Canadian) immigrant and Anglo Canadian nonimmigrant Grade 7 students. Self-efficacy beliefs strongly predicted mathematics performance for both cultural groups, but there were differences between the 2 groups in the sources of self-efficacy, the predictiveness of the secondary motivation variables, and the vertical dimensions of individualism and collectivism. It is argued that the Indo Canadian students are more vertical or hierarchical than the Anglo Canadian students and that comparison with others strongly influences their motivation beliefs and the formation of their efficacy beliefs. Self-efficacy in some cultures may be more other-oriented than is typically seen in Western cultures. 立足于实际的数字系统级诊断

本文主要提出了一个立足于当前实际的系统级诊断模型。在这模型下，系统级诊断变得很容易。模型基于下列假定：将系统划分成既具有自测试又具有测试其它单位能力的一种单位；其测试能力和测试结果用模糊数学来描述；自测试时在各种情况下均能给出正确的结果；测试其它单位时，除测试者本身具有严重故障外，也均能给出正确结果。     

美、英、日三国高等教育大众化扩张重点之比较和借鉴

本文通过比较和分析美、英、日三国高等教育大众化扩张的重点，归纳得出此三国高等教育大众化扩张重点皆放在非正规普通大学的层次类型上，并认为这一现象对我国高等教育大众化建设很有借鉴意义，我国当前大众化发展的重心应该适当下移，应该以专科层次的高等职业技术教育为重点，走民营化道路。     

螺杆泵举升性能模糊综合评价

对螺杆泵举升性能的影响因素进行了综合分析，建立了螺杆泵举升性能综合评价的指标体系，并利用模糊数学方法确立了该系统的综合评价模型，将该模型应用于2台GLB500—12型螺杆泵，其评价结果与在实际工作中的产液量和寿命的综合指标基本吻合，从而验证了该方法的正确性，为螺杆泵举升性能的综合评价提供了一种有效方法。     

Challenges and opportunities of multimodal data in human learning: The computer science students' perspective

Multimodal data have the potential to explore emerging learning practices that extend human cognitive capacities. A critical issue stretching in many multimodal learning analytics (MLA) systems and studies is the current focus aimed at supporting researchers to model learner behaviours, rather than directly supporting learners. Moreover, many MLA systems are designed and deployed without learners' involvement. We argue that in order to create MLA interfaces that directly support learning, we need to gain an expanded understanding of how multimodal data can support learners' authentic needs. We present a qualitative study in which 40 computer science students were tracked in an authentic learning activity using wearable and static sensors. Our findings outline learners' curated representations about multimodal data and the non-technical challenges in using these data in their learning practice. The paper discusses 10 dimensions that can serve as guidelines for researchers and designers to create effective and ethically aware student-facing MLA innovations.     

Connecting the dots: Understanding the interrelated impacts of type,quality and children's awareness of design features and the mathematics content learning goals in digital math games and related learning outcomes

This study focused on an examination of how type, quality and children's awareness of design features in digital math games, along with an awareness of the mathematics goals of the game, were related to learning outcomes. We conducted a parallel conversion mixed methods study with 45 students in Grades 3 and 4 (ages 9–10). Students participated in clinical interviews using three digital math games. The results suggest a moderated mediation relationship in which the quality of the design features moderated the mediating impact of children's awareness of the game's design features, specifically when the child was aware of the mathematics content learning goal (MCLG) of the game. These findings show how important it is that design features are of high quality in a digital math game, and how this is intertwined with children's awareness of the features and the MCLG. When these variables intertwined in just the right way, the interactions between the children and the digital math game afforded mathematical learning growth.
