Analysis of S-SEED''s characteristics in optical switch

This article introduces the basic structure of a symmetric self-electrooptic effect device （S-SEED）, and applies the Kirchoff＇ s current law and a purely equivalent capacitive model, to analyze S-SEED＇s switch characteristics. Linear approximation and N-segment approximation are utilized to obtain S-SEED＇s voltage-time （V-T） and characteristics. Theoretical analysis is verified by simulations, and the results demonstrate that the precision of S-SEED＇s switch time can satisfy the requirement in applications with linear approximation. Moreover, the simulations compare S-SEED＇s switch characteristics with different input powers and input contrast ratios, which reveal that increasing input contrast ratio is an effective way to improve S-SEED＇s switch characteristics.     

TFM调制及其改进技术的研究

通过对TFM调制技术的研究,修正了其中预调制滤波器冲击响应波形g(f)在时间轴上的位置及其频谱G(w)的表达式.然后将TFM基带信号进行近似,即对TFM的相位路径进行进一步的控制,得到一个改进的TFM调制技术.改进后的TFM调制技术和原TFM调制技术相比,频带压缩能力提高了一倍,误码性能不变,但会出现3 dB的寄生调幅,需要提高发射机的发射功率.     

Velocity Profile in Fixed Beds: A Study on the Representativeness of the Experimental Measurement of Downstream Flow Characteristics

Although considerable progress has been made in the development of experimental techniques for investigating velocity distribution inside a fixed bed, these techniques were limited to special cases. Consequently, the velocity distribution is normally measured at downstream of the fixed bed and then this measurement is considered to be representative for the flow inside the bed. To evaluate the representativeness of this technique, this work presents a study of the change in the flow characteristics, starting from the boundary of the fixed bed within the pipe to a downstream position where the experimental measurement is taken, by using simulations based on computational fluid dynamics methods.     

A unified proposal for characteristic testing methods and figure of merit of 8‐kV/3.5‐kVA class light‐triggered thyristors

Power devices with high capability have been developed. 8‐kV/3.5‐kA‐class light‐triggered thyristors have the highest capability among power devices. These devices are used in the Kii Channel HVDC transmission system in Japan. In this paper, we report the extracted problems of conventional testing methods of 8‐kV/3.5‐kA‐class light‐triggered thyristors among manufacturers, and the proposed unified testing methods on the basis of element characteristics and operating conditions in the Kii Channel HVDC system. Furthermore, we propose a figure of merit for power devices for the practical use, and try to extract elements used at the Kii Channel HVDC system with small margins and low withstand capabilities. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 锥形凸台成形的一种叠加滑移线场力学模型

分析了锥形凸台在不同体积成形工艺中的成形机理，基于模块化思想将锥形凸台的成形过程划分为挤压成形与角部充满两个特征时段；将上述两个特征时段的滑移线场力学模型有机联结，构建了锥形凸台成形过程的一种叠加滑移线场力学模型；介绍了叠加滑移线场力学模型的应力场与变形力的求解方法。该模型丰富了金属体积成形过程的特征单元库，可套用于局部成形的应力场与变形力求解，实现局部成形的模具优化设计。

煤的荧光特性与其工艺性能的关系研究

简述了煤中镜质组荧光产生的机理及荧光参数的测量方法,通过测定一系列煤的粘结性和10kg小焦炉结焦性试验,探讨了煤的荧光特性与其工艺性能的关系。煤的荧光参数与其反射率呈正的线性相关关系,与其挥发分含量呈负的线性相关关系;煤的粘结性、结焦性均与其荧光参数有关;当煤化程度相同、煤岩组成基本相同时,煤的荧光强度愈强,其结焦性能愈好。
