Named Data Networking (NDN) is considered an appropriate architecture for IoT as it naturally supports consumer mobility and provides in-network caching capabilities as leverage to meet IoT requirements. Some caching techniques have been introduced to meet IoT application requirements and enforce the caching at the network edge. However, it remains challenging to design a popularity and freshness aware caching technique that places cached contents at the edge of the network as close to consumers as possible in a natural and simple manner without resorting to cumbersome networking mechanisms and hard-to-insure assumptions. In this paper, we propose PF-EdgeCache, an efficient popularity and freshness aware caching technique that naturally brings requested popular contents to the edge of the network in a manner fully compliant with the NDN standard. Simulations performed using the ndnSIM simulator and a large transit stub topology clearly show the competitiveness of PF-EdgeCache in terms of server hit reduction, eviction rate, and retrieval time compared to some representative work proposed in the literature.  相似文献

When schoolchildren are harassed by peers, it sometimes is necessary to seek help from a teacher. However, students and teachers may have a different sense of when it is necessary. The authors investigated students' perceptions of harassment and help seeking, examining whether students' perceptions are related to popularity and whether perceptions of students and teachers differ. Fourth- and 5th-grade students (classified as popular, average, or unpopular) and teachers were interviewed about different types of harassment. Unpopular children perceived teasing more seriously than teachers and other children; in fact, they said that teasing is as serious as threats and physical aggression. Children often are reluctant to seek help because they believe that doing so will not resolve and may exacerbate the situation; unpopular children in particular fear retribution from the perpetrator. Findings suggest that unpopular children are at risk when teachers do not share their sensitivity regarding danger and the need for help. Teacher assessments of interpersonal characteristics were used to identify subtypes of rural African American early adolescents (161 boys and 258 girls). Teacher ratings of interpersonal characteristics were used to identify popular and unpopular aggressive subtypes for both boys and girls. Unpopular aggressive youths did not have elevated levels of rejected sociometric status but were more likely to have lower levels of peer-perceived social prominence and social skills. Conversely, popular aggressive youths were more likely to be disliked by peers even though they were perceived by peers as socially prominent and socially skilled and were identified by teachers as highly involved in extracurricular activities. 针对在线视频热度预测研究中分类及预测效果欠佳,规则化较多和较缺乏实践检验等问题,通过对实际在线视频服务系统所采集的海量数据研究,提出一种基于深度信念网络(Deep Belief Networks,DBNs)的视频热度预测方法。首先,结合社交网络的关注度和视频关键词的搜索热度,对影响因子进行了建模和量化处理;其次,根据输入和输出变量确定了DBNs各层网络的结构,优化了网络参数和预测模型;最后,通过在线视频服务商的数据对深度信念网络进行训练,并多次交叉实验对比分析,结果表明基于DBNs方法在视频热度预测上准确率最高79.47%(国内视频)、65.33%(国外视频),可以为在线视频上映前的投资、宣传以及风险评估提供较全面可靠的参考决策。  相似文献

 为快速响应市场需求,并为有效实施服装供应链管理快速响应策略提供一种数学分析工具,探讨如何通过用数值方法对一系列的服装市场状态进行表征,从而形成一套完整的服装市场状态的度量理论体系。首先通过在不同状态下对影响未来市场需求的服装本质特征进行评价,形成表征服装本质的特征指数(包括基元指数和时尚指数)。然后通过计算将服装的本质特征映射到服装的市场状态空间所形成的流行指数来描述服装在市场的状态,以度量产品的市场接受度、接受趋势和生命周期。  相似文献

Two hypotheses regarding leadership behavior are tested by means of a social prediction test derived from the Rosenzweig P-F test. The leadership hypothesis states that S's who are ranked high in the leadership dimension will be more successful in estimating the predictions made by each group member to a list of test situations than S's ranked low in this dimension. The popularity hypothesis states that leaders who are ranked high on the popularity dimension will be more successful in estimating predictions made on them by group members to a list of test situations than leaders who are ranked low on this dimension. Both hypotheses were confirmed but the design of the experiment precludes generalizations to leaders as a group, claiming only that significant findings existed within the group studied.
