科学数据库建设框架-统一发布及数据共享方案

本文针对目前科学数据库普遍存在的两个问题，即数据无法统一发布和实现数据共享困难，提出了应用新一代网络技术Web Services建立新服务体系的方案，规划了数据统一发布和数据共享的整体框架，讨论了在此框架下，服务体系可能发展的新服务、新应用。从技术层面上指出了实现框架的关键要点，初步研究了实现过程中需要考虑的诸如安全，标准协议等问题。     

Combining interaction and context design to support collaborative argumentation using a tool for synchronous CMC

Abstract Empirical studies and theory suggest that educational dialogue can be used to support learners in the development of reasoning, critical thinking and argumentation. This paper presents an educational design for synchronous online peer discussion that guides student dialogue in ways that lead to improved argumentation and collaborative knowledge development. This design includes a mediating interface – or tool, linked to a broader set of online educational activities – a designed local context, where the latter aims to provide conditions that support argumentation. The approach is based on collaborative working and dialogue game approaches to discussion. Preliminary findings with UK Open University students showed the argumentation process was more coherent, varied, deeper and extended when using our interaction design compared with the use of a simple unstructured interface.

科研项目管理中很多信息处理过程属于流程类活动,工作流管理联盟的工作流技术,其主要特点是流程自动化。基于工作流的科研项目管理信息系统以工作流参考模型为基础,采用关系数据库与工作流技术相结合,研发了一套协同工作的WEB科研项目管理信息系统。通过客户应用程序对服务器数据库进行访问,服务器向客户端响应服务,实现科研项目管理的自动化。系统采用B/S模式,将开发的应用软件与MSOffice套件无缝集成,适应多种复杂的协同工作业务要求。     

The Scientific Attack on Brown v. Board of Education, 1954-1964.

Psychologists' work was cited in the Supreme Court case of Brown v. Board of Education (1954). One criticism of the citation was that psychology could be used to overturn the Brown decision and return the country to segregation. A historical examination of such an attempt to overturn Brown in the early 1960s on the basis of new psychological knowledge shows that psychology was not persuasive in the face of the civil rights movement. The failure of segregationists to overturn Brown with psychological experts underscores how psychology is ineluctably bound to the larger society.
