In this paper we build a practical modification to the standard Euler-Bernoulli equation for flexural modes of cantilever vibrations most relevant for operation of AFM in high vacuum conditions. This is done by the study of a new internal dissipation term into the Euler-Bernoulli equation. This term remains valid in ultra-high vacuum, and becomes particularly relevant when viscous dissipation with the fluid environment becomes negligible. We derive a compact explicit equation for the quality factor versus pressure for all the flexural modes. This expression is used to compare with corresponding extant high vacuum experiments. We demonstrate that a single internal dissipation parameter and a single viscosity parameter provide enough information to reproduce the first three experimental flexural resonances at all pressures. The new term introduced here has a mesoscopic origin in the relative motion between adjacent layers in the cantilever. 相似文献

In this paper, an Adaptive Hierarchical Ant Colony Optimization (AHACO) has been proposed to resolve the traditional machine
loading problem in Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS). Machine loading is one of the most important issues that is interlinked
with the efficiency and utilization of FMS. The machine loading problem is formulated in order to minimize the system unbalance
and maximize the throughput, considering the job sequencing, optional machines and technological constraints. The performance
of proposed AHACO has been tested over a number of benchmark problems taken from the literature. Computational results indicate
that the proposed algorithm is more effective and produces promising results as compared to the existing solution methodologies
in the literature. The evaluation and comparison of system efficiency and system utilization justifies the supremacy of the
algorithm. Further, results obtained from the proposed algorithm have been compared with well known random search algorithm
viz. genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, artificial Immune system, simple ant colony optimization, tabu search etc. In
addition, the algorithm has been tested over a randomly generated problem set of varying complexities; the results validate
the robustness and scalability of the algorithm utilizing the concepts of ‘heuristic gap’ and ANOVA analysis. 相似文献

This paper presents a simple and efficient method to approximate a developable surface to a compound design surface by a polynomial. It is required to predict a final shape of roll bending in the fabrication of a curved shell plate. The roll bending process usually makes the cylindrical or conical curvature from an initial flat plate. It means that the final shape is developable or the surface representation has zero Gaussian curvature. The fabrication shape is important in order to estimate process parameters of roller bending.An optimization problem is formulated to determine the polynomial surface which is in the closest proximity to the design surface or the given shell plate, which is subjected to developability. The results and the efficiency of this algorithm are verified and evaluated by applying it to some shell plates which are obtained from a real ship model. The predicted bending shape becomes fundamental information in determining more process parameters for the fabrication of a compound curved shell plate. 相似文献

To find out the causes of vibration and noise of the trigeminal universal joint which appeared in the installation and use process, the additional moment distribution with the varies of the input shaft angular and the deflection angle was analyzed. Kinematics diagrams of the trigeminal universal joint when the output shaft installed by single radial bearing or twin radial bearing were established. The system coordinates were established under the two installation ways, and the motion equations were established by the direction cosine matrix tools. It indicated that the trigeminal universal joint installed by the single radial bearing was an approximately isometric speed transmission, and was a constant velocity transmission with twin radial bearing installed. Furthermore, the additional moment component on the input shaft and the output shaft was analyzed under the two installation ways. According to the virtual displacement principle, the additional moment on the tripod universal joint when the output shaft installed by twin radial bearing and single radial bearing were determined. When installed by single radial bearing, the deflection moment exists and the vibration frequency of additional moment was three times of the input shaft as a sine curve. The variation trend of the additional moment was straight up with the increase of deflection angle. When installed by twin radial bearing, the deflection moment was zero and the additional moment increased gradually with the increase of deflection angle but did not fluctuate. The analysis revealed that additional moment existed in the trigeminal universal joint system under both installation ways would produce bending vibration. This study is of great significance to study the causes of vibration and determine the nonlinear dynamics of the system. 相似文献

Numerical simulation model of buried pipeline crossing ground settlement zone was established considering pipeline–soil interaction. Mechanical behaviour of the buried pipeline was investigated, and effects of ground settlement, pipeline parameters and surrounding soil parameters on mechanical behaviour of the buried pipeline were discussed. These results show that there are two high stress areas on both sides of the dividing plane. High stress areas are oval on the top and bottom of the pipeline. Z-shape bending deformation appears under the action of ground settlement. In ground settlement zone, axial strain on the top of the pipeline is compression strain, and axial strain on the bottom of the pipeline is tension strain. On the contrary, they are tension strain and compression strain respectively in no settlement zone. Bending deformation, axial strain and plastic strain of the buried pipeline increase with the increase in ground settlement. Von Mises stress, high stress area, axial strain and plastic strain of the buried pipeline increase with the increasing diameter-thick ratio and internal pressure, but they decrease with the increase in buried depth. Diameter-thick ratio and internal pressure have a small effect on the bending deformation of the buried pipeline. Bending deformation decreases with the increase in buried depth in ground settlement zone. Von Mises stress and high stress area increase with the increasing surrounding soil’s elasticity modulus and cohesion, but they increase first and then decrease with the increase in Poisson’s ratio. Bending deformation of the pipeline in no settlement zone increases with the increase in elasticity modulus and Poisson’s ratio, but it is affected little by the cohesion. Axial strain and plastic strain have a bigger relationship with the elasticity modulus and Poisson’s ratio. Axial strain and plastic strain of the buried pipeline increase with the increase in cohesion, and the change rates increase with the increase in ground settlement. 相似文献
