An improved spectral analysis of the stray flux component for the detection of air-gap irregularities in squirrel cage motors

For machines? monitoring purpose, the classical motor current signature analysis has shown its weakness in distinguishing the eccentricity occurrence in presence of others mechanical faults. Although Park?s vector approach can cover this drawback, the high cost due to the requirement to use three current sensors associated with an advanced processing technique, makes it less desired by industrialists. In this paper, we suggest an alternative diagnosis method based on a suitable processing of the stray flux data. The experimental results have revealed the potential of a simple search coil for the detection and the distinction of the accurate eccentricity nature even in presence of similar mechanical faults.

Are cats and dogs the major source of endotoxin in homes?

Previous studies have suggested that exposure to cats and dogs during early childhood reduces the risk of allergic disease, possibly by increasing home endotoxin exposure. This study asked the question of whether cats and dogs are the dominant influence on dust endotoxin concentrations in homes after considering other variables reportedly associated with endotoxin. The presence of cats or dogs in homes, household and home characteristics, and dust endotoxin concentrations from 5 locations were assessed in 966 urban and suburban homes. Whether considered together as pets or as cats and dogs separately, the presence of cats and dogs significantly contributed to living room and bedroom floor endotoxin concentrations, but not to bed endotoxin concentrations. However, the two variables consistently related to endotoxin in all home sites were the home occupant density (occupants/room) and cleanliness of the home. Our data suggest that reducing occupant density and improving home cleanliness would reduce home endotoxin concentrations more than removing pet cats or dogs from the home.     

Influence of operational variables in a hydrodynamic bearing on the generation of acoustic emission

Detecting mechanical faults of rotating machines particularly in hydrodynamic bearings has been recognised as important for preventing sudden shut downs. This technical note presents an experimental investigation that is aimed at understanding the influence of operational variables (speed, load, etc) on generation of acoustic emission in a hydrodynamic bearing. It is concluded that the power losses of the bearing are directly correlated with acoustic emission levels.

永济蒲津渡口遗址保护工程位于黄河冲积河漫滩上，地下水十分丰富，径流条件好；在保持其原地、原貌、原位不变的情况下，如何处理建筑物的防水问题，将是很关键的。本文通过对里外抽水试验资料的综合分析，并运用裘布依完整井稳定流理论公式及泰斯完整井非稳定流理论等方法对场区含水层渗透能力进行了计算、评价，提出了较为合理的处理方案。     

陆东凹陷低熟油特征及形成条件分析

陆东凹陷白垩系所产原油多为低熟油。其特征为低含硫，中含蜡，凝固点中等，粘度中等，密度偏高，饱和烃含量低，芳烃非烃含量偏高。饱和烃色谱特征，生物标记化合物特征和稳定碳同位素组成特征均表明，菌藻类低等生物是重要的成烃母质。
