Database Encoding and A New Algorithm for Association Rules Mining

This paper proposes a method to encode database. By this way, a record is denoted by only one binary number, so the size of the database is reduced sharply. If some known modified algorithms are used on the database encoded, the efficiency will be improved significantly. At the meantime, a new algorithm based on the proposed encoding method is introduced too. By using some properties of numbers, the itemsets of the database can be converted into numerical fields. Different from the Apriori, the new algorithm discovers the association rules from the largest frequent itemset at first, and then all subitemsets, which are also frequent, will be gotten without any calculation, and all the other small none-frequent itemsets that must be generated in the Apriori will be omitted, and the scan times of the database are also reduced. Test results show the new algorithm based on the encoding database has a lower complexity of time and space.     

地震数据通用压缩文件格式设计

本文从生产实际需要提出了进行地震数据压缩和制定规范的压缩数据文件格式的要求，按照通用性，兼容性，可扩充性，操作简便，高缩效率几方面的要求设计了通用压缩数据文件格式及一种具体形式，讨论了数据压缩的具体策略和方法，试验表明，采用压缩数据文件格式，不但可以大比例地减小数据存贮空间（压缩比达４：１－１０：１），而且可以大大加快数据的Ｉ／Ｏ速度（提高１倍以上）。

Analysis and visualisation with host-based software – The features of STNAnaVist™

This article is based on experiences with data and text mining to gain information for strategic business decisions, using host-based analysis and visualisation (A/V), primarily in the field of patents. The potential advantages of host-based A/V are pointed out and the features of the first such A/V software, STN^®AnaVist™, are described in detail. Areas covered include the user interfaces, initial set of documents for A/V, data mining, text mining, reporting, and suggestions for further development.     

适于复杂信息融合系统的近似联合概率数据关联算法

文中在B.Zhou提出的直接概率计算(DC)和近似概率计算(AC)算法基础上提出了一种新的近似多传感器多目标联合概率数据关联算法。近似概率法是以一个目标为中心的近似聚为构造互联事件的起点，并在计算中将DC和AC结合得到的一种全邻的点迹—航迹关联算法，它能有效地提高目标点迹—航迹的关联正确率，在计算时耗上较完全联合概率法快得多，能满足工程中实时性的要求。将其在杂波下目标密集、航迹复杂的数据融合系统中进行实验，对关联正确率，关联耗时等与最近邻法进行了比较，效果较好。     

Experiences with a parallel algorithm for data flow analysis

We have designed a family of parallel data flow analysis algorithms for execution on distributed-memory MIMD machines, based on general-purpose, hybrid algorithms for data flow analysis [Marlowe and Ryder 1990]. We exploit a natural partitioning of the hybrid algorithms and explore a static mapping, dynamic scheduling strategy. Alternative mapping-scheduling choices and refinements of the flow graph condensation used are discussed. Our parallel hybrid algorithm family is illustrated on Reaching Definitions, although parallel algorithms also exist for many interprocedural (e.g., Aliasing) and intraprocedural (e.g., Available Expressions) problems [Marlowe 1989]. We have implemented the parallel hybrid algorithm for Reaching Definitions on an Intel iPSC/2.
