Alternative hydrocarbon solvents for cottonseed extraction

Hexane has been used for decades to extract edible oil from cottonseed. However, due to increased regulations affecting hexane because of the 1990 Clean Air Act and potential health risks, the oil-extraction industry urgently needs alternative hydrocarbon solvents to replace hexane. Five solvents,n-heptane, isohexane, neohexane, cyclohexane, and cylopentane, were compared with commercial hexane using a benchscale extractor. The extractions were done with a solvent to cottonseed flake ratio of 5.5 to 1 (w/w) and a miscella recycle flow rate of 36 mL/min/sq cm (9 gal/min/sq ft) at a temperature of 10 to 45°C below the boiling point of the solvent. After a 10-min single-stage extraction, commercial hexane removed 100% of the oil from the flakes at 55°C; heptane extracted 100% at 75°C and 95.9% at 55°C; isohexane extracted 93.1% at 45°C; while cyclopentane, cyclohexane, and neohexane removed 93.3, 89.4, and 89.6% at 35, 55, and 35°C, respectively. Each solvent removed gossypol from cottonseed flakes at a different rate, with cyclopentane being most and neohexane least effective. Based on the bench-scale extraction results and the availability of these candidate solvents, heptane and isohexane are the alternative hydrocarbon solvents most likely to replace hexane. 超声波在聚合物成型加工中降粘作用的研究及应用

对超声波进行了简单的介绍,对其在聚合物成型加工中的降粘机理进行了一定的研究以及对它在聚合物成型加工中的应用进行了综述。在聚合物的成型加工中,超声波的合理施加可以大幅度的降低聚合物熔体的粘度,降低加工设备的要求和条件,更有利于高粘度聚合物的成型加工。     

Simulation of Fe-Al compounds developed during single superphosphate manufacture

In order to analyse iron phosphate complexes and gel-like phases encountered in the single superphosphate process, experiments were performed with a free-Al, Fe apatite crystal of Durango from Mexico phosphate rock and sulfuric acid. Reaction products were studied by X-ray diffraction and surface analysis methods namely X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Results show that in a free Al, Fe-system, part of the Ca(H₂PO₄ )₂.H₂O (MCPM) forms before precipitation of any CaSO₄(CS) and gel-like phase such H₂SO₄.yH₃PO₄.xH₂O is formed. When iron is added, the precipitation rate of (CS) and (MCPM) increases and Fe₃(H₃O)H₈(PO₄)₆.6H₂O is formed. When Fe and Al are added, a gel-like phase is quickly formed with a molar ratio that changes with time and develops into crystalline compounds. The composition of this gel may be represented as a mixture of two phases: H₂SO₄.yH₃PO₄.xH₂O and a gel containing Al-Fe-Si.

GRIP管混凝土组合结构压弯构件非线性全过程分析

本文应用细观力学、经典层板理论、平截面假定、FRP约束混凝土本构模型及数值积分对GFRP管混凝土组合结构压弯构件进行了非线性全过程分析。通过理论计算发现GFRP管混凝土组合结构能有效地提高构件的承载力，且构件具有良好的变形能力。FRP壳体参与承载且有效地约束混凝土的变形，显著提高核心混凝土强度和变形能力。文中讨论了轴压比、长细比、径厚比、混凝土强度等级、纵筋配筋率、铺层角变化对极限水平荷载和极限水平位移的影响，从而得到了一些有益的结论。     

Quantitation of volatile compounds in heated triolein by static headspace capillary gas chromatography/infrared spectroscopy-mass spectrometry

Static headspace and capillary gas chromatography/infrared spectroscopy-mass spectrometry were used to collect, separate, identify and quantitate the oxidative and thermal decomposition products in heated triolein. Approximately 4 L of triolein was heated in a deep-fat fryer at 190°C for 12 h each day for a total of 60 h, until it contained>-20% polymeric material. The concentration of heptane and octane increased after 12 h heating, then decreased upon further heating, while the concentration of volatile aldehydes decreased gradually during heating. After 12 h of heating, the concentrations of the major volatiles changed as follows: heptane (16.36 to 30.17 ppm), octane (24.48 to 40.77 ppm), heptanal (21.68 ppm to 9.11 ppm), octanal (35.53 to 36.64 ppm), nonanal (68.95 to 43.16 ppm), (E)-2-decenal (135.00 to 89.00 ppm) and (E)-2-undecenal (88.50 to 61.00 ppm). After 60 h of heating, when the oil contained over 20% polymeric material, the concentrations of heptane, octane, heptanal, octanol, nonanal, (E)-2-decenal and (E)-2-undecenal were 5.16, 4.39, 5.45, 7.02, 18.07, 12.50 and 6.00 ppm, respectively.     

墩头超长实用堰泄洪安全分析及模型试验验证——以缅甸DAPEIN(Ⅰ)水电站工程为例

以缅甸DAPEIN(Ⅰ)水电站工程为例,论述了将WES实用堰的闸墩墩头向上游超长延伸之后,对泄洪安全所造成的影响。针对WES实用堰流量系数、堰面动水压力容易受边界因子影响的特点,对设计断面的堰顶布置和墩头形状进行了优化。根据堰面空化数计算公式及水流特性推导出计算的关键部位,对空化数进行计算。采用几何比尺为1∶60的物理模型对溢流堰的泄流能力和堰面动水压力进行了试验测试。试验结果表明:溢流堰的模型试验泄流能力和设计泄流能力非常相近。堰面动水压力除工况2的B4测点出现了-1.2 k Pa的微小负压值外,其余堰面时均压强值均大于0。从而,在泄流能力和堰面动水压力两方面都验证了这种设计方案的合理性。该工程所遇到的结构布置问题在中低溢流坝工程中属常见问题,解决思路可为今后类似工程建设借鉴参考。

浦市化工总厂１５年多种经营的体会有三条：由于中小矿山规模小、交通不便，从事多种经营既是自身生存发展的必由之路，又要着眼于填补市场空白，不断优化产品结构，开发新产品的同时必须狠抓经营管理；不断完善规章制度。面对变化、竞争的市场，缺乏足够的产品开发资金和快速反应的机制，还有一些其他不利因素，必须由国家采取调控手段才能加以解决。     

Efficient and color pure blue light emitting random copolymer with fluorene and fluorenylstilbene

A blue electroluminescent polymer, random copolymer of fluorenylstilbene and fluorene, was prepared by the nickel catalyzed coupling reaction. The structure and properties of the copolymer were analyzed by various spectroscopic methods. The obtained polymer had good solubility and thermal stability with high T_g. The polymer in thin film emits strong blue luminance (max=468 nm) with narrow bandwidth upon photoexcitation. PL spectrum of the polymer in the film is almost consistent with that of solution one as well as the EL spectrum, indicating that the aggregation and the excimer fluorescence are suppressed by the introduction of fluorenylstilbene comonomer. Moreover, the introduction of fluorenylstilbene comonomer lowered the oxidation potential to lead feasible hole injection, when the compared with poly(fluorene) homopolymer. The ITO/PEDOT/polymer/LiF/Al device showed the maximum brightness of 3500 cd/m² with a turn on voltage of 4.4, the maximum efficiency of 0.878 lm/W and blue emission with CIE chromaticity coordinates of ((x,y)=(0.17, 0.25)).
