嵌入式软件中一种修正QoS值的构件选择方法

CBSD(Component-Based Software Development)已经成为嵌入式软件开发的主流技术。在嵌入式环境下,有大量功能相似的构件,在开发过程中基于QoS的构件选择已成为研究热点。然而这些构件的QoS声明与提供者给出的往往并不一致。为此,提出一种基于修正QoS值的构件选择方法,该方法将QoS信任度作为权重,修正QoS值,再结合模糊逻辑,推理出该构件的综合服务能力。通过嵌入式VOD仿真实验,验证了算法的有效性,保证了构件选择的客观性和准确性。     

Usability evaluation methods for the web: A systematic mapping study

Context

In recent years, many usability evaluation methods (UEMs) have been employed to evaluate Web applications. However, many of these applications still do not meet most customers’ usability expectations and many companies have folded as a result of not considering Web usability issues. No studies currently exist with regard to either the use of usability evaluation methods for the Web or the benefits they bring.

Objective

The objective of this paper is to summarize the current knowledge that is available as regards the usability evaluation methods (UEMs) that have been employed to evaluate Web applications over the last 14 years.

Method

A systematic mapping study was performed to assess the UEMs that have been used by researchers to evaluate Web applications and their relation to the Web development process. Systematic mapping studies are useful for categorizing and summarizing the existing information concerning a research question in an unbiased manner.

Results

The results show that around 39% of the papers reviewed reported the use of evaluation methods that had been specifically crafted for the Web. The results also show that the type of method most widely used was that of User Testing. The results identify several research gaps, such as the fact that around 90% of the studies applied evaluations during the implementation phase of the Web application development, which is the most costly phase in which to perform changes. A list of the UEMs that were found is also provided in order to guide novice usability practitioners.

Conclusions

From an initial set of 2703 papers, a total of 206 research papers were selected for the mapping study. The results obtained allowed us to reach conclusions concerning the state-of-the-art of UEMs for evaluating Web applications. This allowed us to identify several research gaps, which subsequently provided us with a framework in which new research activities can be more appropriately positioned, and from which useful information for novice usability practitioners can be extracted.

基于FDI算法在软件测试实践中的应用

软件测试对于软件系统的性能以及功能都有很重要的意义,是保证软件可靠运行的关键.在软件测试的实践应用中,对于软件故障定位时,提出了基于谓词统计故障定位的算法,也就是FDI频率差异积分算法.在软件测试实践中采用基于FDI频率差异积分算法,可以很好地监控软件程序,测试软件的覆盖率以及执行时间等内存占用情况,并找到软件的故障瓶颈,以便采取更好的方法改进软件性能.探讨了实践中基于FDI频率差异积分算法在软件测试内的应用.     

Function point measurement from Web application source code based on screen transitions and database accesses

A function point (FP) is a unit of measurement that expresses the degree of functionality that an information system provides to a user. Many software organizations use FPs to estimate the effort required for software development. However, it is essential that the definition of 1 FP be based on the software development experience of the organization. In the present study, we propose a method by which to automatically extract data and transaction functions from Web applications under several conditions using static analysis. The proposed method is based on the International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) method and has been developed as an FP measurement tool. We applied the proposed method to several Web applications and examined the difference between FP counts obtained by the tool and those obtained by a certified FP specialist (CFPS). The results reveal that the numbers of data and transaction functions extracted by the tool is approximately the same as the numbers of data and transaction functions extracted by the specialist.     

Impacts of essential elements of management on IT application maturity — A perspective from firms in China

This paper explores the impacts of essential elements of management on IT application maturity (ITAM). A game theoretical model is established to show that a firm's IT application maturity should match with its essential elements of management. In order to further validate the analytical result, a data set with 137 firms was collected via a survey instrument. Using reliability and factor analysis on the dataset, a four-dimension measurement construct of IT application maturity is proposed together with a three-dimension measurement construct of essential elements of management. Empirical analysis is then conducted to address research questions on the impacts of essential elements of management on IT application maturity. It is found that while a firm's strategic cooperation capability has no significant effect on IT application maturity, its internal coordination capability positively influences all four dimensions of IT application maturity. For the firm's execution capability, although it shows no significant effect on the overall IT application maturity, it does positively affect the technology and man-machine synergy dimensions of IT application maturity. The findings of this study offer practical guidance for organizations to better align their IT application maturity with essential elements of management.
