Ninety men with alcohol problems and their female partners were randomly assigned to 1 of 3 outpatient conjoint treatments: alcohol behavioral couples therapy (ABCT), ABCT with relapse prevention techniques (RP/ABCT), or ABCT with interventions encouraging Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) involvement (AA/ABCT). Couples were followed for 18 months after treatment. Across the 3 treatments, drinkers who provided follow-up data maintained abstinence on almost 80% of days during follow-up, with no differences in drinking or marital happiness outcomes between groups. AA/ABCT participants attended AA meetings more often than ABCT or RP/ABCT participants, and their drinking outcomes were more strongly related to concurrent AA attendance. For the entire sample, AA attendance was positively related to abstinence during follow-up in both concurrent and time-lagged analyses. In the RP/ABCT treatment, attendance at posttreatment booster sessions was related to posttreatment abstinence. The driver''s intention is recognized by electroencephalogram(EEG) signals under different driving conditions to provide theoretical and practical support for the applications of automated driving. An EEG signal acquisition system is established by designing a driving simulation experiment, in which data of the driver''s EEG signals before turning left, turning right, and going straight, are collected in a specified time window. The collected EEG signals are analyzed and processed by wavelet packet transform to extract characteristic parameters. A driving intention recognition model, based on neural network, is established, and particle swarm optimization (PSO) is adopted to optimize the model parameters. The extracted characteristic parameters are inputted into the recognition model to identify driving intention before turning left, turning right, and going straight. Matlab is used to simulate and verify the established model to obtain the results of the model.The maximum recognition rate of driving intention is 92.9%. Results show that the driver''s EEG signal can be used to analyze the law of EEG signals. Furthermore, the PSO-based neural network model can be adapted to recognize driving intention.  相似文献

Social networking site (SNS) use decisions have led to major economic and social transformations worldwide. While many organizations seek to use SNSs from a strategic perspective to reach their customer, it is important to understand what makes SNSs successful in order to use them for competitive purposes. The current research evaluates the influence of the social capital theory on SNS success measures. A model was developed and empirically tested using two data samples to ensure valid and reliable results for success of SNSs. Based on the marketing theory of hedonic consumption, this study examines the effects of six types of imaginal and emotional experiences on using pleasure-oriented IT. Associated hypotheses are tested using questionnaire responses from 443 online game players. The results provide strong support for the major hypotheses and indicate that the determinants of behavior may differ in using pleasure-oriented versus productivity-oriented IT. This paper contributes not only to the application of a marketing theory to IS research, but also to improved understanding of using pleasure-oriented IT and of why people use technologies that are not particularly useful from a productivity standpoint.  相似文献

Lacking the presence of human and social elements is claimed one major weakness that is hindering the growth of e-commerce. The emergence of social commerce might help ameliorate this situation. Social commerce is a new evolution of e-commerce that combines the commercial and social activities by deploying social technologies into e-commerce sites. Social commerce reintroduces the social aspect of shopping to e-commerce, increasing the degree of social presences in online environment. Drawing upon the social presence theory, this study theorizes the nature of social aspect in online SC marketplace by proposing a set of three social presence variables. These variables are then hypothesized to have positive impacts on trusting beliefs which in turn result in online purchase behaviors. The research model is examined via data collected from a typical e-commerce site in China. Our findings suggest that social presence factors grounded in social technologies contribute significantly to the building of the trustworthy online exchanging relationships. In doing so, this paper confirms the positive role of social aspect in shaping online purchase behaviors, providing a theoretical evidence for the fusion of social and commercial activities. Finally, this paper introduces a new perspective of e-commerce and calls more attention to this new phenomenon of social commerce.  相似文献

There is a substantial increase in the utilization of web-based assessment procedures to assist teaching and learning processes in higher education institutions. Despite their benefits, institutions use them to a limited extent due to a number of factors influencing both instructors' and students' behaviors. This study examines students' acceptance of a web-based summative listening test administered in the 2014–2015 academic year within an ‘English as a Foreign Language' course at a two-year post-secondary military school in Turkey. The participants consisted of 602 military students. As a model, Computer Based Assessment Acceptance Model based on Technology Acceptance Model was adopted in order to analyze the participants' perceptions on a web-based summative listening comprehension test. The data were collected via an online questionnaire. A structural equation modeling analysis was utilized to analyze the relationships among factors. The general results showed that perceived ease of use and perceived playfulness had a direct influence on the participants' behavioral intentions to use web-based tests. In other words, web-based tests are expected to be used if they are easy to use and playful enough.  相似文献

As companies recognize the effectiveness of social media as a marketing channel, firms are leveraging brand fan pages (BFPs) to foster deeper relationships with their customers. While most extant studies focus on the motivations behind customers’ participation in BFPs, only little is known about the discontinuance behaviors of BFP followers. This study identifies a comprehensive inventory of BFP followers’ unfollowing motivations. By conducting a mixed-method study, the study develops and empirically validates a five-factor scale that measures BFP followers’ discontinuance motivations. The impact of the motivations on BFP users’ unfollowing intention is also examined. Theoretical and practical implications are subsequently discussed.  相似文献

The ultimate purpose of augmented cognition is to enhance human cognitive abilities, which are intrinsically limited. To enhance limited human cognitive abilities, we developed a human augmented cognition system that can offer appropriate information or services by actively responding to the user's intention. This article mainly describes a framework for probing human implicit intentions for the purpose of augmented cognition. The type of user intention, either task‐free human implicit intention or task‐oriented human implicit intention, can be predicted based on fixation count, fixation length, and pupil size variation induced by eye response. Further, these features are used to detect the transition point between task‐free human implicit intention and task‐oriented human implicit intention. Maximum a Posteriori in Naïve Bayes classification model is used for selecting relevant query keywords to search and retrieve specific information from a personalized knowledge database. The experimental results show that the proposed human intention recognition and probing models are suitable for achieving the goal of augmented cognition. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
