Predictive control for voltage collapse avoidance using a modified discrete multi-valued PSO algorithm 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Voltage stability is one of the most challenging concerns that power utilities are confronted with, and this paper proposes a voltage control scheme based on Model Predictive Control (MPC) to overcome this kind of instability. Voltage instability has a close relation with the adequacy of reactive power and the response of Under Load Tap Changers (ULTCs) to the voltage drop after the occurrence of a contingency. Therefore, the proposed method utilizes reactive power injection and tap changing to avoid voltage collapse. Considering discrete nature of the changes in the tap ratio and also in the reactive power injected by capacitor banks, the search area for the optimizer of MPC will be an integer area; consequently, a modified discrete multi-valued Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is considered to perform this optimization. Simulation results of applying the proposed control scheme to a 4-bus system confirm its capability to prevent voltage collapse. 相似文献

Dynamic stability of the torsional vibrations of a shaft system consisting of two torsionally elastic shafts interconnected through a Hooke's joint is investigated by means of a two degree-of-freedom model. The linearized equations of motion are shown to consist of a set of Mathieu-Hill equations and stability of their solutions is analyzed by means of a monodromy matrix method. Results are presented in the form of stability charts constructed on various parameter planes visualizing the effect of various selected pairs of system parameters on the stability. 相似文献

Absolute stability for systems with several sector‐restricted and slope‐restricted nonlinearities is studied in this paper. A critical analysis of the multipliers is performed and the multipliers of Yakubovich type are chosen because the stability inequality is obtained with a minimum of technical assumptions. The main part of the paper is devoted to obtaining the Yakubovich‐type criterion in the unified context of stable, critical, and unstable cases for the linear part. The paper is motivated by the problem of pilot in‐the‐loop oscillations of the aircrafts where critical and unstable cases appear and the saturation nonlinearity is both sector and slope restricted. The paper contains some applications of the frequency domain inequalities. The conclusions show a ‘parsimony principle’: using as few free parameters as possible to obtain the largest possible domain of stability. This paper addresses the problem of stability for a class of switched positive linear time‐delay systems. As first attempt, the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional is extended to the multiple co‐positive type Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional for the stability analysis of the switched positive linear systems with constant time delay. A sufficient stability criterion is proposed for the underlying system under average dwell time switching. Subsequently, the stability result for system under arbitrary switching is presented by reducing multiple co‐positive type Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional to the common co‐positive type Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional. The semi‐Markov jump linear system (S‐MJLS) is more general than the Markov jump linear system (MJLS) in modeling some practical systems. Unlike the constant transition rates in the MJLS, the transition rates of the S‐MJLS are time varying. This paper focuses on the robust stochastic stability condition and the robust control design problem for the S‐MJLS with norm‐bounded uncertainties. The infinitesimal generator for the constructed Lyapunov function is first derived. Numerically solvable sufficient conditions for the stochastic stability of S‐MJLSs are then established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. To reduce the conservativeness of the stability conditions, we propose to incorporate the upper and lower bounds of the transition rate and meanwhile apply a new partition scheme. The robust state feedback controller is accordingly developed. Simulation studies and comparisons demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed methods. This paper addresses the design of low‐level controllers for leader–follower formations of nonholonomic vehicles in the presence of bounded measurement delays. The concept of input‐to‐state stability is extended to encompass the effect of bounded delays and restrictions on the input. A method is proposed to integrate a Smith predictor in a backstepping design on the basis of nested saturations and nonlinear small‐gain assignment, which allows for time delays in the feedback loop. Robustness analysis under uncertain bounded time delays is provided, and design tradeoffs resulting from the use of bounded controls are discussed. This paper considers the problem of delay-dependent robust stability for uncertain singular systems with additive time-varying delays. The purpose of the robust stability problem is to give conditions such that the uncertain singular system is regular, impulse free, and stable for all admissible uncertainties.
