A weight loss technique was used to determine the corrosion inhibition efficiency of synthesized alkyl mono-and dibenzoate
triethanolammonium bromide derivatives (TEAMB, TEADB) in an acidic medium (2 N HCl) at different doses (50, 100, and 200 ppm).
The results showed that monoderivatives had a higher corrosion inhibition efficiency than diderivatives. The results were
correlated with several factors, including the alkyl chain length of the hydrophobic chains, interfacial tension (IT), critical
micelle concentration (CMC), and adsorption free energy of these inhibitors. Increasing the geometric length of the alkyl
chains in the synthesized inhibitors had an increasing effect on their corrosion inhibition efficiency, whereas decreasing
the CMC and IT had an increasing effect on their tendency toward corrosion inhibition. The number of hydrophobic chains attached
to the inhibitor molecules had a vital influence on their efficiency as corrosion inhibitors. 相似文献

The prediction of slug frequency has important significance on gas-liquid two-phase flow. A hydrodynamic model was put forward to evaluate slug frequency for horizontal two-phase flow, based on the dependence of slug frequency on the frequency of unstable interfacial wave. Using air and water, experimental verification of the model was carried out in a large range of flow parameters. Six electrical probes were installed at different positions of a horizontal plexiglass pipe to detect slug frequency development. The pipe is 30 m long and its inner diameter is 24 ram. It is observed experimentally that the interracial wave frequency at the inlet is about i to 3 times the frequency of stable slug. The slug frequencies predicted by the model fit well with Tronconi (1990) model and the experimental data. The combination of the hydrodynamic model and the experimental data results in a conclusion that the frequency of equilibrium liquid slug is approximately half the minimum frequency of interfacial wave. 相似文献

利用聚酰亚胺(PI)作为碳纤维(CF)界面改性剂,制备了界面改性碳纤维增强聚醚醚酮(MCF/PEEK)复合材料。采用差示扫描量热仪(DSC)讨论了CF及其界面改性对PEEK非等温结晶行为的影响机制与作用规律,并基于莫志深法研究了MCF/PEEK的非等温结晶动力学;借助DSC和小角X射线散射仪(SAXS)表征不同降温速率下PEEK基体的结晶结构,采用万能试验机评价了MCF/PEEK的力学性能。结果发现:CF对PEEK的结晶有较为明显的异相成核促进作用,经过PI界面改性之后成核作用有所下降,但结晶行为仍较纯PEEK更容易发生,整体结晶速率更快;随冷却速率的增大,基体结晶度、片晶厚度与长周期均减小,MCF/PEEK的拉伸强度与模量也显著减小,层间断裂韧性提高。 相似文献

Organotin polyamine ethers containing acyclovir in their backbone were synthesized in moderate to high yield employing the aqueous interfacial polycondensation system. The products are high molecular weight polymers. Infrared spectroscopy of the products shows new bands characteristic of the formation of Sn–N and Sn–O bonds consistent with the proposed structure. MALDI-TOF MS below 2000 Da shows the presence of organotin and acyclovir units containing these two moieties. The products show moderate inhibition of a number of cancer cell lines and exhibit the ability to inhibit a number of viruses, particularly the herpes simplex virus-1 and varicella zoster virus that are responsible for herpes, chicken pox and shingles. 相似文献

Mass transfer studies were carried out in a bubble column using the chemical method. Catalytic oxidation of sodium sulfite was chosen for the studies and the corresponding specific rates of oxidation were obtained using a stirred cell. Laser Doppler anemometer (LDA) was used to measure the instantaneous velocities in the same stirred cell as well as in bubble columns (100 and i.d.). An efficient algorithm based on the multiresolution analysis of the velocity-time data using wavelets was used for the isolation of data belonging to the gas and liquid phases. Eddy isolation model was used for the characterization of the eddy motion including the estimation of the energy dissipation rate. Using the knowledge of eddy motion, a methodology was developed for the prediction of true mass transfer coefficient (kL) in a stirred cell as well as in bubble columns. The predicted values of kL have been compared with the experimental values obtained by the chemical method. 相似文献

Two surface modification methods—plasma surface treatment and chemical agent treatment—were used to investigate their effects on the surface properties of ultrahigh‐molecular‐weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers. In the analyses, performed using electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis, changes in weight, and scanning electron microscope observations, demonstrated that the two fiber‐surface‐modified composites formed between UHMWPE fiber and epoxy matrix exhibited improved interfacial adhesion and slight improvements in tensile strengths, but notable decreases in elongation, relative to those properties of the composites reinforced with the untreated UHMWPE fibers. In addition, three kinds of epoxy resins—neat DGEBA, polyurethane‐crosslinked DGEBA, and BHHBP‐DGEBA—were used as resin matrices to examine the tensile and elongation properties of their UHMWPE fiber‐reinforced composites. To investigate the interfacial interaction of AI(OH)3/polypropylene (PP) composites modified by in situ‐functionalized polypropylene (FPP), AI(OH)3/polypropylene (PP) composites containing a low AI(OH)3 content, modified by in situ‐grafted acrylic acid, were prepared by a one‐step melt‐extrusion process. The effect of in situ FPP on the crystallization and melting behavior, crystalline morphology of the composites, and interfacial interaction between the filler and PP was investigated. The crystallization and melting behavior and crystalline morphology of PP in the composites depended upon the interfacial physical [heterogeneous nucleation of AI(OH)3; cocrystallization and compabilitization of PP with in situ FPP] and the interfacial chemical interaction between both the components in the composites. The interfacial reaction of the polyethylene (PE)/starch blend system containing the reactive compatibilizer maleated polyethylene (m‐PE) was directly characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. A significant amount of anhydride groups on m‐PE existed as hydrolyzed forms, resulting in a large amount of carboxyl groups. Using a vacuum‐heating‐cell designed in the laboratory, the carboxyl groups were successfully transformed into the dehydrolyzed state (i.e., anhydride group). This result enabled the direct spectroscopic observation of chemical reaction occurring at the interface. For the PE/starch blend system containing m‐PE, the chemical reaction at the interface was verified by the evolution of ester and carboxyl groups in the FTIR spectra. The effect of the reactive compatibilizer on the interfacial morphology was also examined by scanning electron micrography (SEM). Enhanced interfacial adhesion was clearly observed for the blend system containing reactive compatibilizer. Tensile strengths of blend systems containing m‐PE also increased noticeably compared with the corresponding system without compatibilizer.
