Enterprise Social Networks as Digital Infrastructures - Understanding the Utilitarian Value of Social Media at the Workplace

ABSTRACT

In this study, we first show that while both the perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment of enterprise social networks impact employees’ intentions for continuous participation, the utilitarian value significantly outpaces its hedonic value. Second, we prove that the network’s utilitarian value is constituted by its digital infrastructure characteristics: versatility, adaptability, interconnectedness and invisibility-in-use. The study is set within a software engineering company and bases on quantitative survey research, applying partial least squares structural equation modeling.     

The Construction of the Multilingual Internet: Unicode,Hebrew, and Globalization

This paper examines the technologies that enable the representation of Hebrew on websites. Hebrew is written from right to left and in non‐Latin characters, issues shared by a number of languages which seem to be converging on a shared solution—Unicode. Regarding the case of Hebrew, I show how competing solutions have given way to one dominant technology. I link processes in the Israeli context with broader questions about the ‘multilingual Internet,’ asking whether the commonly accepted solution for representing non‐Latin texts on computer screens is an instance of cultural imperialism and convergence around a western artifact. It is argued that while minority languages are given an online voice by Unicode, the context is still one of western power.     

福建平潭风化花岗岩原位测试及岩土参数取值研究

因风化花岗岩具有结构性强,遇水软化、常规钻探取原状土样难等特点,所以通过常规土工试验获得的风化花岗岩的抗剪强度和变形参数往往偏小很多。为了合理确定风化花岗岩的抗剪强度和变形参数,以福建平潭某工程为项目背景,对福建平潭地区具有代表性且结构性强的风化花岗岩地层开展了旁压试验、标准贯入试验、剪切波速测试和平板载荷试验等系列原位力学特性试验研究,通过相关理论对原位试验结果进行了分析研究并推算了风化花岗岩的抗剪强度和变形参数。将旁压试验计算结果与平板载荷试验及室内试验进行了对比分析和验证,发现旁压试验计算结果与平板载荷试验推算的结果较为一致且明显大于室内试验结果。研究结果表明旁压试验结果在很大程度上反映了深部风化花岗岩的原状特性,利用旁压试验结果推算风化花岗岩的抗剪强度和变形参数是合理的。针对风化花岗岩,旁压试验是值得广泛推广应用的一种原位试验手段。     

BT模式在水利基础设施建设中的应用及风险防范

从建设—移交模式(BT)的涵义谈起,描述了中国现阶段BT水利项目发展的良好势态,分析了采用BT模式建设的巨大优势。结合水利工程的特点,从建设单位的角度出发,阐述了BT模式应用的潜在风险,并针对潜在的风险提出应对措施,以最大程度地降低风险所带来的损失。     

Development of wheel-less snake robot with two distinct gaits and gait transition capability

Snake robots are mostly designed based on single mode locomotion. However, single mode gait most likely could not work effectively when the robot is subject to an unstructured working environment with different measures of terrain complexity. As a solution, mixed mode locomotion is proposed in this paper by synchronizing two types of gaits known as serpentine and wriggler gaits used for non-constricted and narrow space environments, respectively, but for straight line locomotion only. A gait transition algorithm is developed to efficiently change the gait from one to another. This study includes the investigation on kinematics analysis followed by dynamics analysis while considering related structural constraints for both gaits. The approach utilizes the speed of the serpentine gait for open area locomotion and exploits the narrow space access capability of the wriggler gait. Hence, it can increase motion flexibility in view of the fact that the robot is able to change its mode of locomotion according to the working environment.

强腐蚀环境下锚索强度指标及表观特性试验研究

利用自行制做的试验装置,以配制出的强腐蚀环境土为介质,对非预应力锚索和预应力锚索的裸筋以及对有注浆缺陷的锚索试件进行了腐蚀试验,从外观腐蚀状况和腐蚀后的钢绞线力学性能的改变特性进行了研究.结果表明:从外观上看,预应力锚索试件的腐蚀程度总体上比非预应力试件的腐蚀程度要重,含注浆缺陷的锚索试件的腐蚀程度比裸筋的腐蚀程度要重...     

机械开关硬件消抖电路设计

通过分析机械开关产生抖动的原因和可能造成的影响,指出了设计机械开关消抖电路的必要性,给出了三种硬件消抖电路的设计方法,电路简单,工作稳定可靠,可在数字电路设计中广泛使用。     

基于S3C2410的超声造影剂震荡仪的设计

针对传统声振式造影剂制备方法的缺陷．提出一种基于嵌入式的小型系统设计方案。文中在机械振荡法原理的基础上．结合现代电路设计出以ARMS3C2410处理器为核心．电阻式触摸屏为输入的机械式硬件电路。并详细阐述系统工作原理、硬件结构和相关驱动程序。试验结果表明,系统操作方便．具有良好的人机界面,能够制备粒径分布均一,性质稳定的超声造影剂。该设计是一种新型超声造影剂制备方法．对目前造影剂制备技术的研制提供了一种有效的手段．并有望实现商品化．
