A type-centric framework for specifying heterogeneous, large-scale, component-oriented, architectures

Maintaining integrity and consistency, and effecting conformance in architectures of large-scale systems require specification and enforcement of many different forms of structural constraints. While type systems have proved effective for enforcing structural constraints in programs and data structures, most architectural modeling frameworks include only weak notions of typing or rely on first order logic constraint languages that have steep learning curves associated with them and that become unwieldy when scaling to large systems.We present the Cadena Architecture Language with Meta-modeling (CALM) — that uses multi-level type systems to specify and enforce a variety of architectural constraints relevant to the development of large-scale component-based systems. Cadena is a robust and extensible tool that has been used to specify a number of industrial strength component models and applied in multiple industrial research projects on model-driven development and software product lines.     

SPI success factors within product usability evaluation

This article presents an experience report where we compare 8 years of experience of product related usability testing and evaluation with principles for software process improvement (SPI). In theory the product and the process views are often seen to be complementary, but studies of industry have demonstrated the opposite. Therefore, more empirical studies are needed to understand and improve the present situation. We find areas of close agreement as well as areas where our work illuminates new characteristics. It has been identified that successful SPI is dependent upon being successfully combined with a business orientation. Usability and business orientation also have strong connections although this has not been extensively addressed in SPI publications. Reasons for this could be that usability focuses on product metrics whilst today's SPI mainly focuses on process metrics. Also because today's SPI is dominated by striving towards a standardized, controllable, and predictable software engineering process; whilst successful usability efforts in organisations are more about creating a creative organisational culture advocating a useful product throughout the development and product life cycle. We provide a study and discussion that supports future development when combining usability and product focus with SPI, in particular if these efforts are related to usability process improvement efforts.

基于项目开发教学法的Visual Basic程序设计教学模式的研究

本文针对VisualBasic程序设计课程的教学,首先介绍采用项目开发教学法进行教学设计,调整教学顺序,贯彻"问题引导、项目驱动、实训为主、讲练结合、(理论)够用为度"的原则。其次,再探讨强化实战训练,淡化验证型实验,加强设计型实验,以使学生在实践项目训练中掌握程序设计的基本方法,熟悉软件开发的基本流程,增强分析问题解决问题能力,培养创新实践能力,教学效果良好。     

基于工作过程的网页制作技术课程改革

为了提高计算机专业课程的教学质量和学生的专业技能,必须对现在的课程教学模式进行改革,以适应现代企业对高职人才的要求,实现教学与就业岗位零距离接轨。以网页制作技术课程为例,根据课程对应的职业岗位群,分析网页设计师在工作过程中所需要的能力,并以此为依据设置教学内容,安排实训项目。实践证明,课程改革情况良好,学生的学习兴趣大大提高,并积极参与项目锻炼,专业技能得到了提升。     

可持续发展教学团队建设的思考

可持续性发展的教学团队具有合理的教学体制,可以整合教学资源,推进教学改革,因此,建设可持续性发展教学团队是提高本科教学质量的重要举措。结合目前教学团队的建设情况,提出建设可持续性发展教学团队的几条建设性意见。     

构筑实践教学体系,强化应用能力培养

本文介绍了在计算机特色专业建设过程中,围绕实践教学体系建设所开展的一系列工作。提出从程序设计实验教学改革入手,通过整合专业核心课程实践环节、增设综合课程设计环节、加强校外实习实训基地建设和毕业设计管理等措施,不断提升学生的应用能力。文中同时阐述了构筑先进实验平台和建设实验教师队伍的具体思路、做法及其对特色专业建设的支持。
