With the rapid development of high-speed rail (HSR) systems, the security and safety of these huge systems are becoming the primary concerns for passengers. HSR infrastructure plays an important role in HSR systems, making the maintenance of security and safety of the HSR infrastructure especially important. Meanwhile, sensor network technologies allow the realization of real-time and all-weather monitoring of HSR infrastructure. This paper analyzes the application requirements and characteristics of infrastructure health monitoring sensor network (IHMSN) through construction of a three-layer IHMSN which is composed of end devices, repeater points, and access points. The physical topology optimization goal of IHMSN is to set the optimal number of network nodes (namely, minimum cost) as well as the best physical connections. Given types and amount of the end devices, a multiple knapsack model is established which converts the physical topology optimization problems into multiple knapsack problems. Based on the different needs of practical application, three different cases (basis case, adding devices case and weight-based case) are proposed, and the corresponding models are built. Some artificial intelligence algorithms and a traditional dynamic programming algorithm are presented to solve the problems. In addition, a general algorithmic finite state machine is proposed to describe the solving process. After comparing these algorithms in execution time, memory, and optimal results, the genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm stand out when used to solve the basic case as well as the extended cases. The numerical results show that these proposed models and algorithms can effectively solve the physical topology optimization problem of IHMSN for HSR systems. Moreover, these methods can effectively reduce network costs and provide a theoretical basis for network communication link optimization.  相似文献

A type of parallel shooting method is proposed for the solution of nonlinear multipoint boundary value problems. It extends the usual quasilinearization method and a previous shooting method developed for such problems, and reduces to usual multiple shooting techniques for two point boundary value problems. The effectiveness of the method for stiff problems is illustrated by an application to the problem of finding periodic solutions of a restricted three body problem with given Jacobian constant and unknown period.  相似文献

The approach, based on the theory of non-commutative polynomial rings, yields explicit and simple formulas for computation of the state coordinates as well as for state equations in observable canonical form. This paper looks into the steel mother plate design problem. A slab, which is an intermediate work in process, is subsequently rolled into a mother plate with the specific dimensions of thickness, length, and width. The mother plate is then cut into customer order plates. As a slab is rolled into a mother plate through a series of horizontal and vertical rolling processes, different-sized mother plates can be generated from a single-slab type. This flexibility allows for the size of a mother plate to be determined according to the order plates assigned to it. Furthermore, when the order plates are cut from a mother plate, a guillotine cut is required to reduce the production cost. The steel mother plate design problem involves the placing of order plates on the mother plates in a guillotine cut pattern and determining the sizes of the mother plates with the objective of minimising the number of slabs; thus it may be considered as a two-staged guillotine cut, two-dimensional bin packing problem with flexible bin size. This paper introduces the problem, presents several mathematical models, and proposes an iterative two-phase heuristic method consisting of several algorithms to solve the problem. Computational results for the benchmark problems show the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

Load-shedding is an intentional reduction approach which can maintain the stability of a microgrid system effectively. Recent studies have shown that a load-shedding problem can be solved by formulating it as a 0/1 knapsack problem (KP). Although approximate solutions of 0/1 KP can be given by ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithms, adopting them requests a delicate consideration of the robustness, convergence rate and premature convergence. This paper proposes a new kind of Physarum-based hybrid optimization algorithm, denoted as PM-ACO, based on the critical paths reserved feature of Physarum-inspired mathematical (PM) model. Through adding additional pheromone to those important items selected by the PM model, PM-ACO improves the selection probability of important items and emerge a positive feedback process to generate optimal solutions. Comparing with other 0/1 KP solving algorithms, our experimental results demonstrate that PM-ACO algorithms have a stronger robustness and a higher convergence rate. Moreover, PM-ACO provides adaptable solutions for the load-shedding problem in a microgrid system.  相似文献

Project Tech engages secondary students (ages 14 to 17) in the process of digital game design in a variety of in-school, after-school, and secure settings. The goal of Project Tech is to leverage students’ interests in games and design to foster their problem-solving in a supportive environment where they learn to create games about a social issue they have experienced personally. The present study compares the in-school special needs version of Project Tech (n = 11) to examine problem solving. Students enrolled in Project Tech were guided in the process of designing digital games aimed at teaching younger students (ages 12–15) about social issues facing teenagers. A quantitative content analysis was conducted on 35 iterations of a directed design game and 35 iterations of a free design game created by special needs young people and director notes. The purpose of the study was to draw from the game iterations a list of empirically grounded problem solving attributes that are associated with digital game design in a special needs classroom. The findings of the study resulted in the understanding of problem solving with special needs young people in four areas: representative characteristics, planning characteristics, executing characteristics and evaluation characteristics.  相似文献
