Voltage reference architectures for low-supply-voltage low-power applications

This paper presents a voltage reference generator architecture and two different realizations of it that have been fabricated within a standard 0.18 μm CMOS technology. The architecture takes the advantage of utilizing a sampled-data amplifier (SDA) to optimize the power consumption. The circuits achieve output voltages on the order of 190 mV with temperature coefficients of 43 ppm/°C and 52.5 ppm/°C over the temperature range of 0 to 120°C without any trimming with a 0.8 V single supply. The power consumptions of the circuits are less then 500 nW while occupying an area of 0.2 mm² and 0.08 mm², respectively.     

Dynamic Study on Rigid and Flexible Coupling System for Terminally Sensitive Submunition

A kinetic model of the rigid and flexible coupling system for terminally sensitive submunition is set up with Kane＇s method. The parachute is considered as a flexible body, the flexible displacement is expressed with modal spread method, the position of the parachute is expressed with a hybrid coordinate method, and the kinematics of the terminally sensitive submunition is analyzed. Ten generalized coordinates relative to the attitude of the terminally sensitive submunition are chosen, and the correlative generalized active forces, the generalized inertial forces, the generalized internal forces are calculated in turn. On the base of the Kane＇s method, the ten degrees of freedom dynamic equations for the coupled terminally sensitive submunition are finally set up. This model can be used to expediently simulate and analyze accurately the exterior ballistic trajectory of terminally sensitive submunition, and provide the overall design of the terminally sensitive submunition with some helpful references.

XAFS spectroscopy; fundamental principles and data analysis

The physical principles of XAFS spectroscopy are given at a sufficiently basic level to enable scientists working in the field of catalysis to critically evaluate articles dealing with XAFS studies on catalytic materials. The described data-analysis methods provide the basic tools for studying the electronic and structural properties of supported metal, metal–oxide or metal–sulfide catalysts. These methods include (a) fitting in R-space, (b) application of the difference file technique and (c) control of the fit procedure with k ¹ and k ³ weighting with the help of phase- and amplitude-corrected Fourier transforms. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.

Establishmen and vertification of an improved similitude law for dynamic ice force model test

To study the similitude laws for dynamic ice force model test which is a hot problem in ice mechanics.In this paper,a new modified similitude law for dynamic ice force model test is proposed based on ice-induced virbration theory and two reasonable assumptions.And the new law is vertified with an ice-induced pier virbration example.The numerical calculation results show that,firstly,the error of frequency factor between test value and theory value is small as well as that of displacement and velocity;Secondly,the time scale completely meet the similitude relation,the waveforms anastomotic well,and the phenomenon of offset and omit do not occur;Thirdly,as the damping ratio between prototype and model is nearly equal,the improved similitude law will still be applied.Therefore,the new modified similitude law is feasible to study dynamic ice force model test and can provide reference for the ice mechanics.     

Sliding mode output‐feedback causal output tracking for a class of discrete‐time nonlinear systems

The output tracking (OT) of arbitrary references in discrete‐time (DT) nonlinear systems is addressed by designing an output‐feedback control. A set of difference‐algebraic equations is proposed as an exact solution of the problem. Using a novel technique of approximating DT functions, the system disturbance and steady states, characterized by tracking error identically zero, for both the system state and the control input, are represented as signals generated by a disturbed dynamic system. Using the mentioned dynamics, the control system is extended. Then, a state observer is proposed to estimate the resulting extended system state. Finally, a DT sliding mode controller is designed to achieve the approximate OT. Simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
