Indicators for measuring the impact of scientific citations in patents

Scientific publications cited in patents are fundamental elements to assess the transfer of science to technology. Numerous studies evaluate the impact of references in patents and scientific publications and various measurement methods and indicators are proposed. This article reviewed the existing literature on the indicators used to date to determine their suitability and effectiveness to evaluate the impact of patent citations. For this purpose, we analyzed the characteristics of the studies examined and proposed a qualitative classification of indicators from both a technological (patents) and scientific-academic (scientific articles) perspective. Among the results we find that the use of scientometric indicators is primarily focused on analyzing their relevance for patents through the inclusion of scientific citations. Conversely, the same is not true from the academic point of view where gaps still persist in terms of what the impact is when scientific articles are cited in patents. Among the key conclusions is the diversity of proposals to measure scientific citations in patents, though these are conditioned on bibliographic standardization and metadata management of the patents themselves, making it possible to quantify aspects similar to the immediacy index, impact index, or h-index for authors/inventors, albeit from a technological dimension.

通过文献调查法和时间序列法,回顾资源环境承载力的发展历程,归纳总结出资源环境承载力系统的理论方法体系,包括：资源环境承载力内涵发展、资源环境承载力的研究尺度与研究内容、评价指标体系的构建方法、资源环境承载力指标因子的量化方法、综合承载力的评价方法、资源环境承载力的研究趋势,分析得到现有的资源环境承载力评价的局限性和演进趋势,提出资源环境承载力研究方向从基础的资源评价和环境保护向国土空间规划和生态环境可持续发展等方向转变,并成为生态文明建设和发展的制约要素和参考依据。资源环境承载力正在向以资源环境为约束、以空间优化为导向的方向发展,建立科学的评价指标体系和运用合理的评价方法,对资源环境承载力的评价至关重要。     

'It's Not My Fault-But Only I Can Change It": Counterfactual and Prefactual Thoughts of Managers.

In testing for the self-serving bias in performance evaluation, the authors propose that comparing managers' counterfactual and prefactual thoughts about subordinates' performance is more conclusive than the attributional approach and also offers practical advantages. In a study with 120 managers, a 4-way interaction of subordinate performance, temporal perspective, direction, and reference confirmed the predicted pattern. Managers' thoughts about how a weak performance could have been enhanced had external references, but thoughts about how such a performance could be enhanced in the future focused on the leader. This asymmetry was only observed for weak performance. Results are discussed with regard to biases in leaders' performance evaluations and to how counter- and prefactual thoughts could be used for leadership research and practice. 《热力发电》2001～2005年载文统计与分析

对2001～2005年间《热力发电》刊载的1197篇论文进行了统计和分析。统计结果表明,《热力发电》5年间平均每期刊载论文24．9篇,载文内容中偏向应用技术。其中技术交流和经验介绍两个栏目的载文数量占全部载文的60．2 %;以第一作者身份发表过论文的作者为995人,其中核心作者147人,共同作者署名3 699人次,作者平均合作度为3．09,合作率为74.(?)%,作者主要来自高等院校、电力企业和科研院所,科研院所发表的论文占到总数的49．3％;引文数量4 227条,平均引文量3．5条／篇。

2002-2004年《延边大学学报(自然科学版)》文献计量统计与分析

采用影响因子、总被引频次、载文量、基金论文比、国际论文比、校外论文比、引文数量、平均引文数等文献评价指标,对《延边大学学报(自然科学版)》进行了统计与分析.结果显示,所统计的各项指标(除校外论文比)均低于参照对比指标,表明学报的办刊质量有待于进一步提高.     

Application to a drinking water network of robust periodic MPC

In this paper the application of a novel robust predictive controller for tracking periodic references to a section of Barcelona's drinking water network is presented. The system is modeled using a large scale uncertain differential-algebraic discrete time linear model in which it is assumed that a prediction of the water demand is available and that it is affected by unknown and bounded uncertainties. The control objective is to satisfy the water demand while trying to follow a given reference of the level of the tanks of the network. The controller considered has been modified to account for algebraic equations and large scale models and it joins a dynamic trajectory planner and a robust predictive controller in a single layer to guarantee that the closed-loop system converges asymptotically to a neighborhood of optimal reachable periodic trajectory satisfying the constraints for all possible uncertainties even in the presence of sudden changes in the reference. To demonstrate these properties three different simulation scenarios have been considered.
