Temperature Dependence of Output Voltage Generated by Interaction of Threshold Voltage and Mobility of an NMOS Transistor

Mutual compensation of mobility andthreshold voltage temperature variations mayresult in a zero temperature coefficient (ZTC)bias point of an NMOS transistor. Theconditions under which this effect occurs,stability of this bias point, and thetemperature dependence of the output voltagefor a diode-connected transistor operating inthe vicinity of ZTC point are investigated inthis paper. Some possible applications of thiseffect include temperature sensors with lineardependence of voltage versus temperature, andvoltage and current reference circuits. Thetheory is verified experimentallyinvestigating the temperature behavior of anNMOS transistor realized in 0.35 m CMOSprocess. The design and simulation results ofsimple current and voltage reference circuitsfor implementation in 0.18 m CMOStechnology are given.     

Citing References Accurately.

The Council of Editors of the American Psychological Association (1, p. 43) states that "Accuracy in citations is of major importance." How accurately do psychologists cite references? Recursive data structures

The power and convenience of a programming language may be enhanced for certain applications by permitting treelike data structures to be defined by recursion. This paper suggests a pleasing notation by which such structures can be declared and processed; it gives the axioms which specify their properties, and suggests an efficient implementation method. It shows how a recursive data structure may be used to represent another data type, for example, a set. It then discusses two ways in which significant gains in efficiency can be made by selective updating of structures, and gives the relevant proof rules and hints for implementation. The examples show that a certain range of applications in symbol manipulation can be efficiently programmed without introducing the low-level concept of a reference into a high-level programming language.The work on this paper was supported in part by National Science Foundation under grant number GJ 36473X and ARPA Research Contract DAHC 15-73-0435.     

基于MDT的平面凸轮参数化设计及运动仿真

介绍了基于Vlisp二次开发技术,在MDT中实现平面凸轮机构的三维参数化设计的系统。该系统提供了常用平面凸轮的参数化设计和基于Inventor的虚拟运动仿真,实现了凸轮三维造型的自动化,能有效减小平面凸轮的轮廓坐标误差并提高其廓面加工精度。     

"MMPI and Rorschach: Three decades of research": A time series reanalysis.

Reanalyzed the results concerning the yearly analysis of references to the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and the Rorschach test in Psychological Abstracts from 1950 to 1985 obtained by J. Polyson et al (see record 1987-02840-001), using the auto-regressive integrated moving average model. Findings of the reanalysis reveal a problem with the Polyson et al study, because the sample data did not meet the assumptions of the inferential procedures associated with the t-test and Pearson product-moment r. It is maintained that the number of publications in a given year for either measure did not influence the number of publications for the other measure in any subsequent year. Locality principle revisited: A probability-based quantitative approach

This paper revisits the fundamental concept of the locality of references and proposes to quantify it as a conditional probability: in an address stream, given the condition that an address is accessed, how likely the same address (temporal locality) or an address within its neighborhood (spatial locality) will be accessed in the near future. Previous works use reuse distance histograms as a measure of temporal locality. For spatial locality, some ad hoc metrics have been proposed as a quantitative measure. In contrast, our conditional probability-based locality measure has a clear mathematical meaning and provides a theoretically sound and unified way to quantify both temporal and spatial locality. We showcase that our quantified locality measure can be used to evaluate compiler optimizations, to analyze the locality at different levels of memory hierarchy, to optimize the cache architecture to effectively leverage the locality, and to examine the effect of data prefetching mechanisms.
