ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is to inform and educate the Information Security (IS) professional about some of the key/fundamental tenets of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), especially in the context of Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of information, the three cornerstones of every security initiative. The focus is on such Sections of the Act as 404 (Internal Controls), 302 (Management Certifications), 806 (Whistleblower Protections), 409 (Real Time Disclosures), 802 (Alteration of Documents), amongst others. The textural and electrooptical behavior of a nematic liquid crystal (LC) dispersed in a flexible and rigid polyester was studied. The dispersion of LC in the polymer matrix and light transmission through the polymer‐dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) is governed by the nature of the polymer, its molecular weight, and the applied voltage. It was observed that the transmission of light and the dispersion of LC maximizes their respective values at the minimum molecular weight irrespective of the nature of the polymer and at the maximum voltage. The reason is the predominance of chain alignment over entanglement at the minimum molecular weight. As molecular weight increases, the transmission of light as well as the dispersion of LC in the polymer may increase or decrease depending on the predominance of chain entanglement or chain alignment. The alignment of LC droplets in the direction of the applied voltage is increased by an increase in the applied voltage, causing enhancement of the light transmission. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the modern world, digital content has been massively produced, distributed, and consumed by human beings; consequently, how to protect the rights and benefits of content consumers, producers, and distributors has become a crucial issue. One promising solution is to design a full‐fledged digital rights management (DRM) system. In this study we introduce a new design on the digital rights management system providing user privacy, usage transparency, and superdistribution. A comprehensive set of DRM processing functions and corresponding mechanisms are developed in our system to support various business process requirements. Superdistribution support is embedded in our system design. A prototype is implemented to verify our system design. To protect consumer privacy, a temporary identity is generated for each consumer using the KryptoKnight protocol. Elliptic curve cryptography‐based encryption scheme is adopted for messages transmitted among servers and client over an unsecure communication channel. For usage transparency, a user‐friendly DRM client package (software) is introduced in the proposed DRM system to achieve content protection and support user convenience in usage.Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

One of the key issues associated with epoxy resin–based LED encapsulant is discoloration under operating conditions that caused a decrease in light output. In this article, thermal cationic polymerization of hydrogenated bisphenol‐A glycidyl ether using 3‐methyl‐2‐butenyltetramethylenesulfonium hexafluoroantimonate and its discoloration are reported. Polymerization was followed by thermal analysis, FT‐IR spectrum, and hardness measurements. Thermal discoloration was measured by yellowness index based on transmittance spectrum. Increased catalyst concentration causes acceleration in polymerization rates, but this also increased discoloration after thermal aging. In low catalyst concentration under 0.3 wt %, the hardness of plaque was low and required a high temperature to complete polymerization and this resulted in a highly colored plaque. Formulation with cycloaliphatic epoxy (3′‐4′‐epoxycyclohexane)methyl 3′‐4′‐epoxycyclohexyl‐carboxylate (CEL2021P) enhanced the polymerization even at low catalyst concentration and reduced thermal discoloration. With addition of di‐t‐butylphenol (BHT) as the oxidation inhibitor, the thermal discoloration was extremely improved but this also caused inhibition of polymerization as seen by thermal analysis. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
