X-ray investigations of III–V compounds: layers, nanostructures, surfaces

Some recent results of X-ray investigations of epitaxial layer systems are reviewed. The interest is directed to correlation phenomena in the distribution of misfit dislocations, to the coexistence of two phases of MnAs in a large range of temperatures, to the stress relaxation in quantum wire structures on InP and to the determination of phases of surface reflections.

本文对0.8mm细焊丝火花源光谱分析方法进行了试验研究 ,找出了最佳分析条件及干扰修正系数 ,拟定了相应的分析方案。方法简便、快速、准确。分析结果精度与准确度满足GB43 3 6-84及GB1 1 70 -89的要求。应用本法分析不同牌号的0 .8mm细焊丝样品 ,结果令人满意。

Simulation of Nano Si and Al Wires Growth on Si(1O0) Surface

Growth of nano Si and Al wires on the Si(100) surfaces is investigated by computer simulation, including the anisotropic diffusion and the anisotropic sticking. The diffusion rates along and across the substrate dimer rows are different, so are the sticking probabilities of an adatom, at the end sites of existing islands or the side sites. Both one-dimensional wires of Si and Al are perpendicular to the dimer rows of the substrate, though the diffusion of Si adatoms is contrary to that of Al adatoms, i.e. Si adatoms diffuse faster along the dimer rows while Al adatoms faster across the dimer rows. The simulation results also show that the shape anisotropy of islands is due to the sticking anisotropy rather than the diffusion anisotropy,which is in agreement with the experiments.     

Laboratory fretting tests with thin wire specimens

Wire ropes, due to their construction and application, are prone to fretting damages. In order to know the wear behaviour of individual wires under fretting conditions, laboratory tests are required. The present work describes the preliminary fretting tests accomplished with thin steel wires to optimise the testing procedure. The tests were carried out with ‘crossed‐cylinders’ configuration varying the stroke and normal load. Afterwards, the fretted surfaces were characterised by means of an optical and scanning electron microscope, and a diamond stylus. No significant influence of selected parameters was detected and a good correlation was proved for on‐line measured parameters and off‐line obtained values. Drawing of square twisted wire

The shape of the deformation zone during drawing of square twisted wires is described in this paper. The condition of the stable deformation of the wire is formulated. This condition is satisfied by the constant value of the pitch of the helical surface of the die. The work focuses on the investigation of the influence of the die cone angle on the drawing parameters, in particular on the drawing stress.
