An Advanced Planning System (APS) offers support at all planning levels along the supply chain while observing limited resources.
We consider an APS for process industries (e.g. chemical and pharmaceutical industries) consisting of the modules network
design (for long–term decisions), supply network planning (for medium–term decisions), and detailed production scheduling
(for short–term decisions). For each module, we outline the decision problem, discuss the specifi cs of process industries,
and review state–of–the–art solution approaches. For the module detailed production scheduling, a new solution approach is
proposed in the case of batch production, which can solve much larger practical problems than the methods known thus far.
The new approach decomposes detailed production scheduling for batch production into batching and batch scheduling. The batching
problem converts the primary requirements for products into individual batches, where the work load is to be minimized. We
formulate the batching problem as a nonlinear mixed–integer program and transform it into a linear mixed–binary program of
moderate size, which can be solved by standard software. The batch scheduling problem allocates the batches to scarce resources
such as processing units, workers, and intermediate storage facilities, where some regular objective function like the makespan
is to be minimized. The batch scheduling problem is modelled as a resource–constrained project scheduling problem, which can
be solved by an efficient truncated branch–and–bound algorithm developed recently. The performance of the new solution procedures
for batching and batch scheduling is demonstrated by solving several instances of a case study from process industries. 相似文献

Organosilanes are often used in commercial sizings for glass fibres to provide wettability with the resin and promote strong interfacial adhesion to the matrix in a fibre reinforced polymer composite. The silane treatment is introduced as part of a complex deposition from an aqueous emulsion immediately at the spinaret and determines the optimum properties of the cured composite. To understand the interaction of organosilanes contained in sizings for glass surfaces, XPS was used to investigate the adsorption of γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS) from a simple sizing system containing a polyurethane (PU) film former. It has been found that both APS and the sizing (containing APS and PU) deposits on E-glass fibre surfaces contained components of differing hydrolytic stability. The differences observed in the AFM images of APS coated E-glass fibres before and after water extraction also confirmed that the APS deposit contained components with different water solubility. 相似文献

Conductive polymers have the ability to capture radicals and have become in focus for antioxidant applications of food packaging or biomedical applications. Unfortunately, the conducting polymers such as polypyrrole are difficult to suspense in solution after chemical or electrochemical polymerization. Chitosan, as a natural polymer from chitin, can be dissolved in diluted acetic acid solutions. In the present study, composites suspensible in diluted acetic acid solutions have been produced by the chemical polymerization of pyrrole in chitosan solution using ammonium persulfate (APS) as the oxidant. FTIR and UV–Vis measurements did identify an attachment of polypyrrole to chitosan.In order to optimize the activity and stability of the composites, the ratios of APS: polypyrrole: chitosan were analyzed. The chitosan–polypyrrole composites were formed as membranes (coatings); impedance measurements indicated their conductivity to be in the range of 10?3–10?7 S cm?1. The antioxidant (radical scavenger activity) properties were determined by the di(phenyl)-(2,4,6-trinitrophenyl)iminoazanium (DPPH) assay. A Ti3Al (α2) alloy (Ti-19Al-10Nb-3V, wt%) coated by air plasma spraying (APS) with Ni22Cr10AlY and Ni22Cr10AlY/Al2O3 has been tested against cyclic oxidation in air at 850 °C for 10 cycles of 10 h each. Effects of pre-oxidation and cyclic oxidation treatments, both in air, on the microstructure of the single α2/Ni22Cr10AlY and double coated α2/Ni22Cr10AlY/Al2O3 specimens were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM-EDS and Raman spectroscopy. Several distinct results appear through the cyclic oxidization of the pre-oxidized α2/Ni22Cr10AlY, namely, elemental diffusion where Ti and Al diffuses from one side and Ni and Cr from the other side, oxygen is found to be present at the support-bond coat interface and a partial reaction of the superficial NiO with α-Al2O3 to form the non-protective NiAl2O4 takes place. Conversely, pre-oxidation treatment of the double coated α2/Ni22Cr10AlY/Al2O3 specimens causes transient alumina polymorphs obtained by APS to convert to α-Al2O3 and hence to ensure the lowest cyclic oxidation rate seen by a kp value of 2.62×10−12 g2 cm−4 s−1. Good adhesion to support of all the coated specimens is recorded following the cyclic oxidization treatment. 相似文献
