Efficient analysis of wireless communication antennas using an accurate [Z] matrix interpolation technique

An accurate impedance matrix interpolation technique based on the surface integral equation (SIE) is presented for the analysis of wireless communication antennas over wide frequency bands. The first‐order derivative of the impedance matrix at the internal frequency is considered in the cubic polynomial‐based interpolation scheme, thus the novel impedance matrix interpolation scheme will provide high accuracy and high efficiency over a frequency band. To demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method, numerical results for planar inverted F antennas (PIFA) and a wideband E‐shaped patch antenna are presented. Good agreement among the interpolation results, exact MoM solutions, finite element method (FEM) solutions, and measured data is observed over the bandwidth. Besides, dimensions of the feeding probe are also studied to investigate their effect on the input impedance and radiation patterns. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Volatility dynamics of the US business cycle: A multivariate asymmetric GARCH approach

Most empirical investigations of the business cycles in the United States have excluded the dimension of asymmetric conditional volatility. This paper analyses the volatility dynamics of the US business cycle by comparing the performance of various multivariate generalised autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) models. In particular, we propose two bivariate GARCH models to examine the evidence of volatility asymmetry and time-varying correlations concurrently, and then apply the proposed models to five sectors of Industrial Production of the United States. Our findings provide strong evidence of asymmetric conditional volatility in all sectors, and some support of time-varying correlations in various sectoral pairs. This has important policy implications for government to consider the effective countercyclical measures during recessions.     

Prevalence and personality correlates of Facebook bullying among university undergraduates

The purpose of the present study was to examine the prevalence of cyber-bullying through Facebook in a sample of 226 Greek university undergraduates, and to explore whether big five personality characteristics, narcissism, as well as attitudes toward Facebook, technological knowledge and skills were predictive of such behavior. Participants completed a self-report questionnaire measuring the above constructs. Results indicated that almost one third of the sample reported Facebook bullying engagement at least once during the past month, with male students reporting more frequent involvement than females. Bullying through Facebook was predicted by low Agreeableness and more time spent on Facebook only for males, whereas for females none of the studied variables predicted engagement in Facebook bullying. Findings are discussed in terms of prevention and intervention strategies.

川化股份有限公司化肥厂二化尿素装置为日产2460T尿素的大型化肥装置,其CO2压缩机采用日本三菱3V-7B型两缸四段压缩机,由抽汽注汽冷凝式透平驱动.该透平的转速控制由505E控制器实现,并与ProTech 203相结合实现压缩机的两级超速保护.Woodward 505E数字控制器适用于具有一次可调整的纯抽汽、抽补结合或纯补汽型式透平的控制,可现场编程组态,使标准的设计能适用于各种不同的控制场合.文中介绍了505E控制器在UGB151 CO2压缩机上的调速应用,并例举调速系统出现的故障,进行分析排除.

基于MF-RC500的射频卡读写系统设计

MF-RC500完整的集成13.56MHz下所有类型的被动非接触式通信方式和协议,是一种先进的集成式射频芯片,本文设计一种基于MF-RC500的射频卡读写系统,系统主控制器采用具有超低功耗特性的MSP430系列微控制器.首先依据系统框图设计硬件电路系统,设计了MSP430f1232与MF-RC500的接口以及天线和EMC回路:另外设计了系统初始化程序及射频卡处理程序.该系统可读写Mifare Pro、Mifare One、Mifare Light等射频卡,具有一定的通用性.     

基于Pro/E平台机械液控式软启动系统设计与仿真

为了减轻重载设备骤然启动时对电网的冲击和对电机的损害,创造性地设计了周转轮系配合液压湿式离合器的结构,通过控制离合片间液体粘滞力的逐渐增大来使周转轮系的自由度由2逐渐变为1.从而使输出轴柔性加载.借助三维平台Pro/E建立了软启动系统的数字样机,为物理样机的精确运行提供保证,并通过Pro/E软件的Mechanism模块实现对该系统的动态仿真,建立了数学目标函数,对整个机构进行了优化调整,提高了设计质量.     

基于PRO/E的活塞机构运动仿真及应用

机构的运动仿真分析能够有效的解决运动过程中位移、速度、加速度、力的测量,零件间的干涉、作用力、反作用力等问题.以活塞机构的运动仿真为例介绍了Pro/E运动仿真分析的具体步骤,并对活塞机构运动仿真仿获得的数据进行分析,以对其设计的机构做出评价,检验其是否已满足设计要求.仿真结果表明设计与装配符合设计要求,活塞运动正常,没有出现卡死或漏气现象.
