Magnesium-lithium alloys are among the lowest density metallic materials. Addition of lithium, with a relative density of
0·53, in magnesium reduces the density of the alloy significantly. Furthermore, addition of nearly 11 wt.% lithium converts
hexagonal close packed structure of pure magnesium to a body centered cubic lattice, markedly improving formability of the
alloy. The development of these alloys, however, had been hampered due to the high reactivity of lithium and magnesium in
the molten state and also, due to poor creep resistance and instability of mechanical properties at room temperature. In an
attempt to indigenize these ultra light alloys for possible applications in Indian satellite programme, detailed research
work was initiated in DMRL. The difficulties associated with producing sound cast ingots have been overcome by controlling
melting and casting parameters of these alloys. Extensive work has been done on structure-property correlation of alloys with
varying lithium content and minor alloying additions. Based on these work, advanced magnesium-lithium alloys have been developed
with improved tensile properties, room temperature stability and creep resistance. Wrought products (plates/sheets) of magnesium-lithium
alloy have been supplied to ISAC, Bangalore and are being used in their INSAT-2 programme. This paper describes the systematic

The effects of amounts of gelatinized starch and moisture in the final slurry or dough, cooking time, holding time, and holding temperature on physical properties of mungbean noodles were studied. Cooking loss, cutting stress, work to cut, and transparency of noodles were measured. Moisture content of the final slurry or dough, cooking time, and holding temperature were the most important factors that affected physical properties of mungbean noodles. Processing should be done at moisture contents not exceeding 55%, cooking times not longer than 40 set, and holding temperatures not lower than 3° using 5% of total starch as gelatinized starch and holding time of 36 hr. 相似文献

Theoretical analyses for the single fibre pull-out and push-out models under monotonic loading are given which are based on a shear-lag analysis in a fracture mechanics approach considering non-constant friction at the debonded interface as a result of fibre Poisson contraction (or expansion). The solutions allow the determination of typical fibre/matrix interfacial properties such as the interfacial fracture toughness, Gic, the coefficient of friction, μ, and the residual clamping stress, q0. Under cyclic loading the interfacial properties are expected to degrade as a result of repetitive abrasion, and a power law function is assumed between μ and the number of elapsed cycles, N. However, Gic is assumed to be unaffected and a fracture mechanics based debond criterion is derived for the relationship between the external applied stress, the debond length and the reduced friction coefficient for both fibre pull-out and fibre push-out. In addition, the relative displacements between the free fibre end and the matrix top are obtained for cyclic fatigue when the fibre is loaded and unloaded. A relationship obtained for the protrusion (or intrusion) length in fibre pull-out (or push-out) experiments allows the severity of the interface frictional degradation to be evaluated and characterised. Similarities and differences in the frictional degradation behaviour between fibre pull-out and push-out are also identified. 相似文献

采用三羟甲基丙烷(TMP)作交联剂与聚乙二醇(PEO-1540)和甲苯二异氰酸酯(TDI)反应,得到了具有较好力学性能的交联型聚醚聚氨酯(PEU),该聚合物与LiClO4的结合物具有较高的室温电导率(σ30℃=1.87×10 ̄(-4)S/cm)。采用全反射红外光谱(ATR-IR)对聚合物的结构进行了表征。对聚合物的组成、不同TDI类型及络合盐浓度对聚合物力学性能及其络合物电导率的影响进行了探讨。低度交联聚合物的络合物,其电导率与温度的关系符合建立在自由体积理论上的VTF方程,表明络合物中离子的传导主要是在无定形区域进行,与自由体积有关。 相似文献

研究了预热对Ti-23Al-14Nb-3V合金焊接性,特别是对消除氩弧焊冷裂纹的作用以及对接头显微组织和力学性能的影响。结果表明,焊前预热可有效降低该合金的冷裂倾向。经预热处理后,焊缝区的结晶层状线消失,热影响区的硬度峰得到缓和,整个焊缝的显微硬度分布趋于均匀,但焊缝区的枝晶发生粗化,热影响区有所扩大。焊件接头的拉伸试验表明,预热可使焊缝区的接头强度系数增加,但无论预热与否,接头强度均低于母材强度,且不显示宏观塑性。 相似文献

High dielectric constant (high-k) polymer composites are of great interest for embedded capacitor applications. Previously,
we demonstrated that epoxy—aluminum composites are promising for embedded capacitor applications, because they have a high
dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss due to the core—shell structure of the self-passivated aluminum particles. In
this work, to further understand the dielectric behavior of aluminum composites, lower-loss polymers such as silicone, polyimide,
polynorbornene, and benzocyclobutene were explored as matrices for the aluminum composites. It is found that the polymer matrices
can significantly change the dielectric properties of the aluminum composites. A polymer matrix with a lower dielectric constant
generally results in a lower dielectric constant of its aluminum composites. In this regard, polymer—aluminum composites have
a similar dielectric characteristic as polymer—ceramic composites. Thermomechanical properties of aluminum composites were

Aggregates of carbon black (CB) in a polymer matrix have a tendency to form a CB network. The dynamic mechanical properties of binary systems of chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and CB or 3,9‐bis{1,1‐dimethyl‐2[β‐(3‐tert‐butyl‐4‐hydroxy‐5‐methylphenyl)propionyloxy]ethyl}‐2,4,8,10‐tetraoxaspiro[5,5]‐undecane (AO‐80) and their ternary systems were investigated. It was found that the dynamic mechanical properties of those systems depend on the colloidal properties, surface oxides, and surface modification of CB. For binary systems of CPE and CB, oxidized CB gives a high modulus at low strain amplitude and a large Payne effect compared with untreated CB. In contrast, the reverse effect was observed for their ternary systems. Consequently, a good micro‐dispersion is obtainable by surface modification due to physical adsorption of AO‐80 on oxidized CB particles via hydrogen bonds. © 2003 Society of Chemical Industry 相似文献
