The artificial rusts of Zn-Fe and Zn-Ti alloys were synthesized from aqueous solutions of mixed metal chloride, sulphate, and nitrate such as ZnCl2-FeCl2, ZnSO4-Ti(SO4)2, Zn(NO3)2-Fe(NO3)3, and so forth, and were characterized by a variety of techniques. Rust particles with different compositions and morphology were formed, strongly depending on the types of anions and metal ions. Sheet particles of basic zinc chloride (simonkolleite) were generated in the ZnCl2-FeCl2 system and the plate particles of basic zinc sulphate were formed in sulphate systems. These sheet or plate particles and the nanoparticles produced in Zn-Ti systems are expected to form compact rust layers by preferred orientation and dense packing, respectively, and contribute to a high corrosion resistance of Zn alloys.  相似文献

This article demonstrates the tuning of the biological activity of a surface functionalized by a polyelectrolyte multilayer. The interaction of protein A with macrophages is used as the model system. The film consists of two polypeptides, poly(lysine) and poly(glutamic acid); each “build‐up” solution is a mixture of the respective D ‐ and L ‐enantiomers (d and l enantiomers). Cells are deposited on top of the film, and they produce tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF‐α) as they come into contact with the protein. Depending upon the d/l‐enantiomer ratio of the polyelectrolyte solutions used for the film build‐up, and the embedding depth of the protein, the production of TNF‐α commences after a varying induction time and displays a transition from no‐production to full‐production, which takes place over a period of time that depends on the film's composition and embedding depth. Thus, it is shown that by changing these two parameters the timing of the protein's activity can be accurately tuned.  相似文献

To investigate the influence of titanium addition on the formation and structure of goethite (α-FeOOH) rust which is one of main corrosion products of weathering steel, the artificially synthesized α-FeOOH rusts were prepared by hydrolysis of aqueous solutions of Fe(III) containing Ti(IV) at different atomic ratios (Ti/Fe) in the range 0-0.1. The obtained rusts particles were observed by TEM. Characterization by XRD, N2 absorption, Mössbauer spectroscopy was also done. TEM observation revealed that the α-FeOOH rust particle size increased with the increase of Ti/Fe, and that Ti-enriched poorly crystalline particles were formed around the rust particles. XRD confirmed that the crystallite size increased with the increase of Ti/Fe, while the XRD peaks decreased in intensity. Specific surface area obtained by N2 absorption increased with the increase of Ti/Fe. It is deduced from the obtained results that the addition of Ti(IV) increases the crystallite size of α-FeOOH, and produces double domain particles consisting of the particle core and a porous poorly crystalline shell. It is thought that such unique rust structure produced by titanium addition contributes to the protective properties of rust layer of the weathering steel.  相似文献

A compound coating of electrically conductive and visible transparent film and laser protective film has been developed,this coating has light densities of no less than 4 against 0.53μm and no less than 3 against 1.06μm in the range of ±30°angular field.The average transmittance value as high as 60% from 0.4μm to 0.7μm has been achieved.The structures of the laser protective filters are compared.The refractive index of a compound material used in the matching layer has been given.Measured results of the laser protective film coating are compared with that of the compound coating.  相似文献
