This paper presents the solvability conditions for the global robust output regulation problem for lower triangular nonlinear systems assuming the control direction is unknown. The approach used is an integration of the robust stabilization technique and Nussbaum gain technique.

Parallelization of a dynamic SVD clustering algorithm and its application in information retrieval

We describe an implementation of a parallel document clustering scheme based on latent semantic indexing, which uses singular value decomposition. Given a set of documents, the clustering algorithm is dynamic in the sense that it automatically infers the number of clusters to be output. The parallel version has been implemented on a LAN and on a dual‐core system. Experimental evaluation of the algorithm shows an average speed‐up of 6.22 for the LAN implementation and an average speed‐up of 3.71 for the dual‐core implementation, while still maintaining a precision and recall in the range [0.85, 1]. To put these implementations in the context of information retrieval, we use the parallel clustering algorithm and develop a document similarity search system. 文章综述用户模型法、用户调查法、专家评审法和观察法4类可用性测试方法,根据可用性测试的经验,总结出一套合理实用的可用性测试过程,使得可用性测试的效率高、代价低,尽可能发现更多的可用性问题;提出在程序设计类课程的教学中,应适当向学生介绍可用性测试的方法和过程,以培养学生对自己开发的软件系统进行可用性测试的能力。

A simple model for laser drilling

A simple mathematical model of laser drilling is proposed. Assuming axi-symmetry of the process around the axis of the laser beam, a one-dimensional formulation is obtained after cross-sectional averaging. The novelty of the approach relies on the fact that even after dimension reduction, the shape of the hole can still be described. The model is derived, implemented and validated for drilling using lasers with intensities in the GW/cm² range and microsecond pulses.
