Modeling of the bulk free radical polymerization up to high conversion—three stage polymerization model. II. Number-average molecular weight and apparent initiator efficiency

The equations for predicting the number-average molecular weight are derived on the basis of the three stage polymerization model (TSPM) in this paper. By applying the equations, a plotting approach is proposed to determine the apparent initiator efficiency defined as f[(α_td+1)/2] and the constant of chain transfer to monomer, where f is the initiator efficiency and α_td denotes the fraction of the termination rate constants by disproportionation. Using the approach to plot the experimental data in the literature, it is found that the chain transfer to monomer can be neglected for both methylmethacrylate (MMA) and styrene (St) polymerizations, but it can exert a significant effect on ethylmethacrylate (EMA) polymerization. In addition, the apparent initiator efficiency is found to be independent of reaction temperature and initiator concentration at each stage. The values of f[(α_td+1)/2] at gel effect stage are slightly reduced as compared with that at low conversion stage for MMA and EMA polymerizations. However, it decreases significantly at gel effect stage for St polymerization. Using the equations derived and the apparent initiator efficiencies obtained from TSPM plots, the number-average molecular weights at different conversions can be predicted. Comparisons show that the agreement between predictions and experimental data is satisfactory.     

Analysis and Optimization Laminar Viscous Flow Through a Channel

Optimizing of laminar viscous flow through a pipe by two dimensionless values is investigated analytically. Dimensionless entropy generation and pumping power to heat transfer rate ratio are used as basis for constant viscous and the temperature dependence on the viscosity. For this matter we calculate entropy generation and pumping power for a fully developed in a pipe subjected to constant wall temperature for either constant viscosity and the variable viscosity. The variation entropy generation increase along the pipe length for viscous fluid is drawn, either the variation summation dimensionless entropy generation and the pumping power to heat transfer rate ratio are varying the fluid inlet temperature for fixed pipe length and are varying pipe length for fixed fluid inlet temperature are drawn. For low heat transfer conditions the entropy generation due to viscosity friction becomes dominant and the dependence of viscosity with the temperature becomes essentially important to be considered.     

圩区排涝模数计算方法研究

合理确定圩区排涝模数对于降低涝灾损失有重要意义。圩区内土地利用性质的不同,会导致产汇流机制和排涝标准的不同,但排涝模数的计算方法基本一致。本文根据圩区下垫面条件进行产汇流计算,入河流量扣除滞蓄量得到排涝模数,充分考虑到圩内河道的调蓄作用。以常熟市为例,对城镇圩区、农业圩区排涝模数进行计算,并分析了两种圩区不同的排涝要求对排涝模数计算方法的影响。     

Uptake of 226radium and 228radium by the lichen genus Umbilicaria

The 226Ra and 228Ra content of the lichens Umbilicaria cylindrica, U. deusta, U. murina and U. hirsuta has been determined as a function of the growth altitude above sea level, based on data derived from material collected from localities in southwest Poland. These data are interpreted as graphs and formulae to show the influence of environmental factors, particularly altitude, on the concentration of 226Ra and 228Ra, and the coefficients of accumulation calculated.     

双波长Nd：YAG脉冲激光器的实验研究

根据多波长同时振荡条件，我们建立了大能量１０６４ｎｍ和１３１８ｎｍ同时运转的双波长脉冲Ｎｄ：ＹＡＧ激光器。得到了１０６４ｎｍ和１３１８ｎｍ的激光输出能量分别为０．５９４Ｊ和０．８６１Ｊ，效率分别为０．３１％和０．４５％。实验结果说明了该双波长激光器有较好的时间和空间重选性。     

攀钢转炉炼钢用碳化硅提温的试验研究

低品位碳化硅是转炉炼钢的有效提高温剂。工业性试验结果表明，碳化硅加入８．０ｋｇ／ｔ钢水提温４０．３－７０．３℃（平均４８．４℃）；渣中ＴＦｅ降低１．３％；加提温剂有利于转炉内造渣脱硫和碱少炉渣对耐火砖的侵蚀。文中还给出了攀钢转炉半钢冶炼铸用钢不水时加与不加碳化硅的ｔλ，［Ｃ］λ区域。

不良的生活方式和个人行为对健康是一种“自我制造的危害”。吸烟有害世人皆知,然而,近年来吸烟大军更表现为年青化、女性化的特点,青年大学生们吸烟也较普遍,烟草危害在吸烟者身上表现也很明显,已给国家造成极大的疾病负担;青年大学生吸烟还有漫延之势,必须积极开设健康教育,传授保健知识,让他们自己起来同不良的生活习惯作斗争,同时,还必须制定有效的行政干预措施,才能把吸烟带来的毒害控制在最小范围。
