A powerful approach for analyzing the stability of continuous-time switched systems is based on using optimal control theory to characterize the “most unstable” switching law. This reduces the problem of determining stability under arbitrary switching to analyzing stability for the specific “most unstable” switching law. For discrete-time switched systems, the variational approach received considerably less attention. This approach is based on using a first-order necessary optimality condition in the form of a maximum principle (MP), and typically this is not enough to completely characterize the “most unstable” switching law. In this paper, we provide a simple and self-contained derivation of a second-order necessary optimality condition for discrete-time bilinear control systems. This provides new information that cannot be derived using the first-order MP. We demonstrate several applications of this second-order MP to the stability analysis of discrete-time linear switched systems. 相似文献

This paper deals with the observability of the discrete mode, the internal state and the input of switching structured linear systems with unknown input. The proposed method, based on a graph-theoretic approach, assumes only the knowledge of the system’s structure. We express, in graphical terms, necessary and sufficient conditions for the generic observability of the discrete mode, the continuous internal state and the input of a switching structured linear system. This paper considers a multiobjective linear programming problem involving fuzzy random variable coefficients. A new fuzzy random programming model is proposed by extending the ideas of level set-based optimality and a stochastic programming model. The original problem involving fuzzy random variables is transformed into a deterministic equivalent problem through the proposed model. An interactive algorithm is provided to obtain a satisficing solution for a decision maker from among a set of newly defined Pareto optimal solutions. It is shown that an optimal solution of the problem to be solved iteratively in the interactive algorithm is analytically obtained by a combination of the bisection method and the simplex method. 相似文献

A multi-secret sharing scheme is a protocol to share m arbitrarily related secrets s1, … , sm among a set of n participants. In this paper, we propose an ideal linear multi-secret sharing scheme, based on monotone span programs, where each subset of the set of participants may have the associated secret. In the real-world manufacturing/distribution planning decision (MDPD) integration problems in supply chains, the environmental coefficients and parameters are normally imprecise due to incomplete and/or unavailable information. This work presents a fuzzy linear programming approach based on the possibility theory. It applies this approach to solve multi-product and multi-time period MDPD problems with imprecise goals and forecast demand by considering the time value of money of related operating cost categories. The proposed approach attempts to minimize the total manufacturing and distribution costs by considering the levels of inventory, subcontracting and backordering, the available machine capacity and labor levels at each source, forecast demand and available warehouse space at each destination. This study utilizes an industrial case study to demonstrate the feasibility of applying the proposed approach to practical MDPD problems. Quality of service (QoS) provisioning in wireless mesh networks (WMNs) is an open issue to support emerging multimedia services. In this paper, we study the problem of QoS provisioning in terms of end-to-end bandwidth allocation in WMNs. It is challenging due to interferences in the networks. We consider widely used interference models and show that except a few special cases, the problem of finding a feasible path is NP-complete under the models. We propose a k-shortest path based algorithmic framework to solve this problem. We also consider the problem of optimizing network performance by on-line dynamic routing, and adapt commonly used conventional QoS routing metrics to be used in WMNs. We find the optimal solutions for these problems through formulating them as optimization models. A model is developed to check the existence of a feasible path and another to find the optimal path for a demand; moreover, an on-line optimal QoS routing algorithm is developed. Comparing the algorithms implemented by the proposed framework with the optimization models shows that our solution can find existing feasible paths with high probability, efficiently optimizes path lengths, and has a comparable performance to the optimal QoS routing algorithm. Furthermore, our results show that contrary to wireline networks, minimizing resource consumption should be preferred over load distribution even in lightly loaded WMNs. 相似文献

In the last few decades the continuous monitoring of complex dynamic systems has become an increasingly important issue across diverse engineering areas. This paper presents a pattern recognition based system that uses visual-based efficient invariants features for continuous monitoring of induction motors. The procedures presented here are based on the image identification of the 3-D current state space patterns that allow the identification of distinct fault types and, furthermore, their corresponding severity. This automatic fault detection system deals with time-variant electric currents and is based on the identification of three-phase stator currents specified patterns. In this note we consider the stability preserving properties of diagonal Padé approximations to the matrix exponential. We show that while diagonal Padé approximations preserve quadratic stability when going from continuous-time to discrete-time, the converse is not true. We discuss the implications of this result for discretizing switched linear systems. We also show that for continuous-time switched systems which are exponentially stable, but not quadratically stable, a Padé approximation may not preserve stability. 相似文献
