The initial transient during directional solidification of an Al-4 wt.% Cu alloy was simulated by a quantitative phase-field model solved with the adaptive finite element method. The simulated solidification process was compared with the related analytical theory and in situ and real time observations by means of X-ray radiography at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility. The simulated velocity of the planar interface and solute profile ahead of the solidification front in the liquid are close to the predictions of the Warren-Langer model of the initial planar solidification transient, but in fair quantitative agreement with experimental results only at early stages of planar solidification. After the accelerated flat interface lost its stability a transition to cellular solidification was initiated. The initial cell spacing predicted by the phase-field simulation agreed well with the experimental observations in the region where the cell growth direction was perpendicular to the fluid flow, whereas a discrepancy was obvious in the corners where the fluid flow was parallel to growth. An analytical relation describing the wavelength of the initial solid-liquid interface corrugations under diffusion-limited transport is screened out by comparing the phase-field simulation data with expressions based upon the Mullins-Sekerka linear stability analysis theory or derived for primary spacing. The gravity-driven natural convection in the experiment resulted in misfits between the phase-field predictions and the experimental observations in the late stage of planar solidification, onset and development of morphological instability.  相似文献

针对华胜煤业3105综采工作面受高强度采动影响,围岩稳定难以控制的难题,采用数值模拟与现场实际观测相结合的方法对其采场矿压显现规律进行了分析。结果表明,工作面分别推进到40 m、90 m和120 m时,支承压力的峰值分别在8 m、12 m和15 m左右,影响范围分别在40 m、45 m和45 m左右,最大支承压力分别为8.3 MPa、11.2 MPa和11.6 MPa。3105工作面上部、中部和下部的平均周期来压步距为17.3 m、19.4 m和16 m,工作面的平均周期来压步距为17.6 m;周期来压期间支架的平均末阻力分别为6262.7 kN、7471.6 kN和7580.5 kN,平均值为104.9 kN;影响范围分别为5.4 m、7.4 m、5.8 m,平均值为6.5 m。监测断面顶板累计下沉159.8 mm,两帮累计的相对收敛量达到了92.5 mm。  相似文献

A brain–computer interface (BCI) is a way of translating an individuals’ thoughts to control a computer or an external mechanical device. Studying brain activities in a reproducible manner, this study explores the possibility of using real-time functional-near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to detect brain hemodynamic features for BCI commands. Sixteen channel brain activities associated with two distinct mental tasks were measured from seven healthy subjects. The tasks represented neural activities arising from a visual observation of a motor action related to hand movements of the subjects. Sensitive signatures of task relevant neural activities were further extracted from hemodynamic signals in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, and subsequently were translated into pre-determined computer commands using a set of algorithms. The decoded commands allowed volunteer subjects to control an external device in real-time through their mental intentions. The obtained results demonstrate the potential of the current study as an alternative fNIRS-BCI paradigm.  相似文献

Background: Since the internal structure of a tablet can be measured without destruction of the sample by X‐ray computed tomography (CT), it could be applied to quality control of tablets during the manufacturing process. Aim: A novel, fast, noninvasive tablet observation method was developed to evaluate the internal structure of commercial press-coated tablets by using X-ray CT. Method: Thirty-two CT image slices of four kinds of commercial press-coated tablets (tablets A, B, C, and D) were measured 300 m interval between edges of the tablet by using an X-ray CT. The thinnest layer thickness of the tablets and distance between centers of gravity (DCG) of tables were calculated. Results: The order of the TLT of the tablets was tablet B > tablet C > tablet D > tablet A. The result indicated that the order of DCG was tablet A > tablet D > tablet C > tablet B. Noninvasive observation of the internal structure of commercial, press-coated tablets by X-ray CT has been demonstrated to be useful in quality control of production. Conclusion: The internal structure of press-coated tablets could be observed without pretreatment, without destruction, and very rapidly by X‐ray CT.  相似文献

Cf/Hf0.5Zr0.5C-SiC composites were prepared by introducing Hf0.5Zr0.5C matrix (11 cycles) and SiC matrix (9 cycles) into the carbon cloth preform through precursor impregnation and pyrolysis (PIP) process. The influence of the introduction time of SiC matrix on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Cf/Hf0.5Zr0.5C-SiC composites was studied, and the results show that with the increase of the PIP cycles of the SiC matrix introduced before Hf0.5Zr0.5C matrix, the composite open porosity decreased, and the flexural strength and modulus presented an obvious upward trend. CS45 sample, which has 4 cycles of PIP SiC introduced in advance, has the highest flexural strength, flexural modulus and interfacial shear strength of 402.73 ± 35.73 MPa, 56.92 ± 3.97 GPa and 100.88 ± 7.79 MPa, respectively. Hf0.5Zr0.5C matrix has a loose and porous structure, so when more SiC matrix was introduced in advance, its covering effect on the surface of fibers led to less intra-bundle pores and thusly denser composite structure, and due to the compactness of SiC matrix, better overall bonding of fiber, interface and matrix was achieved, as well as better load transfer effect, which led to obvious interfacial debonding and cracking based on the in-situ SEM observation during flexural tests. While in the sample without pre-introduced SiC, the cracking occurred mainly between the interface and porous matrix and the overall performance of the material was poor.  相似文献
