The within-person influence of interpersonal stressors on affective well-being and physical well-being was investigated for 109 women with and without arthritis. Participants were interviewed on a weekly basis for 12 consecutive weeks, and the prospective data were analyzed by using hierarchical linear modeling. Overall, interpersonal workplace stressors independently predicted both well-being outcomes. Interpersonal stressors outside the workplace were related to negative affect but not to arthritis symptoms. Compared with healthy controls, arthritis patients' ratings of negative affect were equally reactive to workplace stressors. Neuroticism did not moderate stressor reactivity for either dependent variable but did predict mean levels of negative affect. To examine the predictive effects of perceived injustice in two different interpersonal relationships (i.e., working relationship with a supervisor, romantic relationship with a partner) on aggression enacted in those relationships, we computed a series of multilevel regressions on 62 heterosexual couples with all 124 partners employed part-time and working for different supervisors. Higher levels of perceived supervisor injustice predicted higher supervisor-directed aggression, whereas higher levels of perceived partner injustice predicted lower supervisor-directed aggression. An interaction between perceived partner injustice and anger predicted higher levels of partner-directed aggression. This study examines the nature and impact of workplace mistreatment, excluding sexual harassment and physical contact, experienced by administrators of a hospital. Factor analyses show that mistreatment behaviours are reflected by three dimensions: verbal abuse, work obstruction, and emotional neglect. Verbal abuse is regarded as an interpersonal form of mistreatment whereas obstruction and neglect are considered as organizational forms. Administrators reported having experienced organizational mistreatment more frequently than interpersonal mistreatment. We then examined relationships among mistreatment, context support, employee psychological well-being, organizational commitment, work satisfaction, and intent to leave. As predicted, supportive work environments mediate between workplace mistreatment and well-being, commitment and work satisfaction but, surprisingly, not the intention to leave the organization. In the modern era of digitalization, manufacturing industries needed monitoring methods to timely detect an abrupt change in the process. Control charts are widely used online monitoring method and used in several sectors for the surveillance of the process. Usually, control charts are developed for a single study variable, but there exists auxiliary information along with the study variable. Because of the linear relation between the study variable and auxiliary variable, several control chart studies are designed based on the simple linear regression model, but they are restricted to the normally distributed response variable. When the response variable follows an exponential family distribution, then the generalized linear modeling (GLM) approach provides better estimates. Hence, this study is designed to propose GLM-based control charts when the response variable follows the inverse Gaussian (IG) distribution. In GLM-based control charts, deviance and Pearson residuals of the IG regression are considered as plotting statistics. For the evaluation purpose, a simulation study is designed, and the performance of the proposed methods is compared with existing counterparts in terms of the run length properties. Moreover, run-rules are also implemented to gain the efficiency of the Shewhart type GLM-based control charts under small-to-moderate shifts. Finally, an example related to the yarn manufacturing industry is also used to highlight the importance of the stated proposal.  相似文献

All the other values reported in this table are correct.] Although it is commonly assumed that alcohol consumption has a significant impact on employee absenteeism, the nature of the alcohol–absence relationship remains poorly understood. Proposing that alcohol impairment likely serves as a key mechanism linking drinking and work absence, we posit that this relationship is likely governed less by the amount of alcohol consumed and more by the way it is consumed. Using a prospective study design and a random sample of urban transit workers, we found that the frequency of heavy episodic drinking over the previous month is positively associated with the number of days of absence recorded in the subsequent 12-month period, whereas modal consumption (a metric capturing the typical amount of alcohol consumed in a given period of time) is not. In addition, consistent with both volitional treatments of absenteeism and social exchange theory, perceived coworker support was found to attenuate, and supervisory support to amplify, the link between the frequency of heavy episodic drinking and absenteeism. 从通感、矛盾修饰法、移就和轭式搭配角度,分析了英语修辞格中与语义相关的词语异常搭配。说明这些创造性搭配以辞格为依托,突破语言常规限制,却符合逻辑范畴,具有很强的语义功能。语言变异中异常搭配有意造成“突出”,具有注意价值和联想功能,是用来加强语言传递效果的有效手段。语用目的明显,认知过程精简,会诱使读者透过其正常指代,寻找言外之意,具有特殊的修辞功能。  相似文献

建立了工作场所空气中2-甲氧基乙醇(EM)、2-乙氧基乙醇(EE)、2-丁氧基乙醇(EB)的溶剂解吸气相色谱同时测定法。采用活性炭管采集,溶剂解吸,毛细管色谱柱分离的气相色谱(FID)测定方法。EM、EE、EB在本方法规定的浓度范围内线性关系良好,相关系数均大于0.999,检出限均为0.50 mg/L,最低检出浓度均为0.67 mg/m3(以采集3.0 L空气计)。相对标准偏差(RSD)为0.4%~1.8%(n=6),平均解吸效率为97.3%~101.1%,样品在室温下至少可保存7天。该方法灵敏度高,精密度好,操作简单,适用于工作场所空气中EM、EE、EB的同时测定。  相似文献
