The effects of irradiation with 10 keV D2+ ions on the hydrogen and water absorption and desorption characteristics of Li2ZrO3 and platinum-coated Li2ZrO3 (Pt-Li2ZrO3) were investigated by employing elastic recoil detection (ERD), weight gain measurement (WGM), and thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS). WGM and ERD results indicated that the amounts of H and H2O absorbed into the ion irradiated bulk Li2ZrO3 and Pt-Li2ZrO3 samples in air at room temperature increased up to ~2–3 times, as compared with those of the unirradiated ones. TDS examinations revealed that the amounts of hydrogen molecules (H2) and H2O released from the unirradiated Pt-Li2ZrO3 and ion irradiated Li2ZrO3 and Pt-Li2ZrO3 were approximately one order of magnitude higher than those of unirradiated Li2ZrO3. Li segregation, ion-induced oxygen deficiency, as well as Pt deposition significantly enhance the splitting of H2O, eventually increasing the amounts of H accumulated in the bulk Li2ZrO3 and the H2 release. 相似文献

Sodium salts of oxycellulose have been prepared by different techniques and under different conditions to obtain a white powder salt of lowest carboxyl group content. Also, Fe(III) and Al(III) salts have been prepared from oxycellulose and from its sodium salt. To prepare amphoteric cation exchange derivatives, anionic oxycellulose was cationized by reaction with Refaktan K, a common commercial cationizing agent which contains diepoxypropyl dimethyl ammonium chloride: different reaction conditions such as percentage cationizing agent, temperature and time have been investigated. Polyelectrolyte titration was used to measure the ion activity of the different products. Polymethyl methacrylate‐N‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone P(MMA‐NVP) copolymer was synthesized in an inert atmosphere by bulk polymerization using azobis‐isobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. The copolymer was crushed, and ground to a defined particle size and iodinated. The iodinated copolymer matrix was washed thoroughly in a suitable solvent so as to remove any residual iodine and characterized using solubility, swelling, viscosity, FT‐IR, and 1H‐NMR studies. The iodinated copolymer was then packed in a refill cartridge specially designed for the purpose. The release of iodide ions from the iodinated matrix was measured in a continuous flow system by directly attaching the cartridge to the water tap and adjusting the flow rate. The water samples were collected at regular intervals and estimated for the concentration of iodide ions using an iodide ion selective electrode. The antimicrobial activity of the copolymer was estimated against bacterial (both Gram‐positive and ‐negative) and fungal species using the zone of inhibition technique. In addition, efficacy of the iodinated copolymer against a variety of microbes was established by inoculating a microbial culture in the water reservoir and measuring the rate of survival of microbes after passing through the copolymer‐filled column. The iodinated copolymer was found to be effective against a variety of microbes and remained so completely until 5000 L of water had passed. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 精炼糖厂离子交换树脂再生脱色液由于含有大量再生剂和色素,需要处理达标后排放。本研究分析了再生脱色液的主要成分和性质,利用纳滤技术对其进行处理,以色素截留率和氯离子去除率作为考查指标,筛选出适合处理再生脱色液的纳滤膜型号,并优化纳滤工艺参数,为纳滤技术治理精炼糖厂离子交换树脂再生液提供参考。实验结果显示:选用型号为44030的纳滤膜进行实验,能有效去除氯离子和截留色素,而且易于清洗;在最佳纳滤工艺下,脱色液氯离子去除率70%以上,色素截留率99.8%以上。 相似文献
