Automated techniques for satellite imagery navigation and co-location are especially required for environmental monitoring activities intensively using satellite data. In this work are presented the results obtained after 2 years of operational use of the Subpixel Automatic Navigation of AVHRR (SANA) scheme. An automatic method for accuracy assessment of satellite navigation techniques, which permits a preliminary evaluation of their performances, dealing with a large collection of test images is also proposed. The navigation accuracy assessment, performed by using a selection of small islands as reference points, is discussed.Results achieved over more than 400 Advanced Very-High-Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) scenes confirm that the SANA scheme is a very accurate one (computed mean navigation error is generally about one AVHRR pixel). Furthermore, because of its high processing speed, it can be considered a suitable tool for intensive satellite data processing in multitemporal analyses, especially required for environmental studies as well as for operational monitoring purposes. 相似文献

Solar radiation has an irregularly varying factor due to a basic day and night cycle and climatic conditions. For such conditions a data sampling interval is important to ensure the accuracy of energy monitoring in a photovoltaic system. While treating a system monitoring equipment as a black box. the author has developed the method of calibrating an energy-integrating function. At first for various input waveforms, the relationship between sampling intervals and quasi-integration outputs have been examined by trapezoidal rule. In the numerical simulation the phases of the sampling clock also are considered Then it is concluded that a sampling interval can be inspected through outside observation only by using a rectangular single pulse. By applying the pulse to the energy-integrating process, two kinds of integrated outputs can be obtained for different sampling phases. The calculated difference between both outputs can uniquely give the sampling interval being inspected. Conditions to ensure measuring accuracy are discussed and the validity of this method has been demonstrated experimentally. An effective way to in situ monitor the metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) of HgCdTe/CdTe/ZnTe on GaAs or GaAs/Si
substrates is presented. Specular He-Ne laser reflectance was used to in situ monitor the growth rates, layer thickness, and
morphology for each layer in the grown multilayer structure. In situ monitoring has enabled precise measurements of ZnTe nucleation
and CdTe buffer layer thicknesses. Monitoring the constancy of reflectance during the thicker CdTe buffer growth where absorption
in the CdTe reduces reflectance to just the surface component has led to optimum buffer growth ensuring good quality of subsequently
grown HgCdTe. During the interdiffused multilayer process (IMP) HgCdTe growth, because multiple interfaces are present within
the absorption length, a periodic reflectance signal is maintained throughout this growth cycle. A theoretical model was developed
to extract IMP layer thicknesses from in situ recorded experimental data. For structures that required the growth of a larger
band gap HgCdTe cap layer on top of a smaller band gap active layer, in situ monitored reflectance data allowed determination
of alloy composition in the cap layer as well. Continuous monitoring of IMP parameters established the stability of growth
conditions, translating into depth uniformity of the grown material, and allowed diagnosis of growth rate instabilities in
terms of changes in the HgTe and CdTe parts of the IMP cycle. A unique advantage of in situ laser monitoring is the opportunity
to perform “interactive” crystal growth, a development that is a key to real time MOCVD HgCdTe feedback growth control. 相似文献
