Objective: To investigate sex differences in neurocognition and social functioning in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and the possible role of sex as a moderator of this relationship. Visual performance management (VPM) is a bundle of practices where visual techniques are used to offer timely information to shop-floor employees about the performance of processes. We investigate whether VPM contributes to the beneficial effects of Lean, and if so, what the relationship is between VPM and other Lean practices. Thus, the study builds on and adds to the stream of research that tries to establish how the various practices associated with Lean depend on and reinforce each other. Based on the outcomes of a survey, we establish that VPM is positively related with operations improvement. This effect is not direct, but mediated by Lean practices such as just-in-time and quality management. We conclude, therefore, that VPM should be seen as an infrastructural practice that reinforces an organisation’s general fitness, and acting as an enabler for more dedicated Lean practices. In addition, we find that VPM positively moderates the effects of Lean practices, which supports the same conclusion. 相似文献

Three-dimensional numerical calculations have been performed for a transient moderator circulation inside the CANDU (Canada Deuterium Uranium) calandria vessel of Wolsong Units 2/3/4. The porous media approach was applied for the core region containing 380 calandria tubes. An anisotropic hydraulic resistance model for the porous media has been developed based on the empirical pressure loss correlations. The selected event was the 35% RIH (Reactor Inlet Header) break with a loss of ECC (Emergency Core Cooling) injection, which has been known to give the largest heat load to the moderator among all the DBA's (Design Basis Accidents). The calculation has been successfully done until 1,200 s after the break, when most of the considerable heat transfer procedure has been completed. During this LOCA (Loss of Coolant Accident) transient, the local subcoolings in the vicinity of any PT/CT (Pressure Tube/Calandria Tube) contact does not drop below the experimentally derived subcooling threshold of 30°C. Because the minimum subcoolings reach only a few degrees to the threshold temperature during the initial 20-40 s, future work on the CANDU moderator circulation needs to be aimed at determining whether this small subcooling margin covers the uncertainty of the moderator analysis. 相似文献

Measurements of neutronic characteristics of rectangular and cylindrical coupled hydrogen moderators

Extensive simulation calculations were performed in the design studies of the coupled hydrogen moderator for the pulsed spallation neutron source of the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Facility (J-PARC). It was indicated that a para-hydrogen moderator had an intensity-enhanced region at the fringe part, and that pulse shapes emitted from a cylindrical para-hydrogen moderator gave higher pulse-peak intensities with narrower pulse widths than those from a rectangular one without penalizing the time-integrated intensities. To validate the peculiar distribution and advantages in pulse shapes experimentally, some measurements were performed at the neutron source of the Hokkaido University electron linear accelerator facility. It was observed that the neutron intensity was enhanced at edges of the para-hydrogen moderators, whereas it decreased at the same part of the ortho-rich-hydrogen moderator, where the dimension of those moderators was 50 mm in thickness and 120 mm in width and height. The spatial distribution and pulse shapes were also measured for a cylindrical coupled para-hydrogen moderator that has the same dimensions as for the coupled moderator employed for J-PARC. This paper examines the role that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play in the socioeconomic development of countries. The proposed model analyzes the relationship between ICT access (available ICT infrastructure and individual’s access to ICT), ICT use (ICT intensity and usage, and ICT skills), and socioeconomic development. The methodology employed consists of a Structural Equation Model (SEM). To achieve this goal, country-level data across 163 countries for the year 2013 is used from developing to developed countries. Results obtained indicate the moderating role of ICT use and skills in the relationship between ICT access and the socioeconomic development. The ICT usage and ICT skills enhance the effect of ICT access on the socioeconomic development. The model is robust with respect to the development level. 相似文献

Lithium carbonate pellets are frequently used for estimation of tritium production rate in irradiated samples in fusion blanket neutronics experiment and the activity is measured by liquid scintillation counting technique. In this measurement, it is essential to solve the lithium carbonate pellet as much as possible and to mix the pellet solution into scintillation cocktail homogeneously at stable condition. For this purpose, a novel binary-acid method has been developed to solve lithium carbonate and to mix the pellet solution into scintillation cocktail. High solubility is attained by adopting two acids, HNO3 and CH3COOH, and a good compatibility of the pellet solution with scintillator is obtained by emulsion cocktail resulting in high counting efficiency. Defining a product of dissolved mass and counting efficiency as a Figure of Merit (FOM), the present method has higher FOM value than the conventional method and is extremely simple in a sample preparation procedure. In the present work, solubility, compatibility and counting efficiency were systematically examined for different mixing ratios of two acids, and the condition for a maximum FOM was determined. The FOM value of a factor of two higher than the conventional method was finally attained. 相似文献

TOPAZ-Ⅱ反应堆是以高富集度铀为燃料,以氢化锆为慢化剂的空间发电用反应堆。与一般采用氢化锆作为慢化剂的反应堆不同,TOPAZ-Ⅱ反应堆呈现正的慢化剂温度效应,且其值较大。本工作采用MCNP程序对TOPAZ-Ⅱ反应堆的慢化剂温度效应进行计算,通过分析氢化锆升温前后主要区域中子能谱和中子产生率、中子吸收率及泄漏率的变化,得出产生正慢化剂温度效应的原因:氢化锆升温后,中子产生率增加较大,而泄漏率增加较小,且吸收率减少,从而产生正的慢化剂温度效应。 相似文献
