The dynamic adsorption behaviors of benzene vapor on phosphoric acid‐activated carbon fiber (ACF‐P) were investigated by gas chromatography. The experimental results showed that ACF‐P that was activated at >350°C, like steam‐activated carbon fiber (ACF‐W), has good dynamic adsorption properties for benzene vapor. However, the saturation adsorption capacities of ACF‐P and ACF‐W are different. The dynamic adsorption conditions apparently do not affect the effluent concentration before the breakthrough point, but do change the operation loading and usage efficiency. The potential of a range of polymer-based activated carbons to remove a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen from protein containing and protein-free solutions was studied. The adsorption capacity of five activated carbons produced from phenol-formaldehyde resin precursors (MAST Carbon Ltd) was compared to a cellulose coated activated carbon Norit RBX used in a commercial Adsorba®300C haemoperfusion column (Gambro).Ibuprofen adsorption was studied in batch experiments over 24 h at pH=7.6 and 25 °C and adsorption equilibrium data were correlated with the Langmuir and Freundlich equations.Results showed that uncoated mesoporous MAST carbons can remove ibuprofen from model solutions both in the presence and absence of serum albumin. Ibuprofen is a highly protein-bound drug and the presence of serum albumin significantly affects the adsorption of ibuprofen by cellulose-coated microporous carbon used in Adsorba®300C column. 相似文献

ABSTRACT The mixture of citrus fruits (orange, grapefruit, mandarin, and lemon) wastes was utilized to obtain high surface area activated carbon (AC) by H3PO4 activation. The production conditions were optimized and the optimum conditions were determined. The optimal-activated carbon (CFWAC) was characterized by various physicochemical techniques. CFWAC was also used as a sorbent for Pb (II) ions from water. Batch experiments were performed to explore the adsorption capacity and mechanism. The Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order kinetic model showed good fitness to the experimental data. The maximum Pb (II) adsorption capacity of CFWAC was found to be 163.93 mg/g. 相似文献

The relations between coke yields and the volatile matter content of 30 individual and 30 blended coals were investigated. Coke yields and deposited carbon related to volatile matter content can be expressed in the following equations: CY (%) = 97.89?0.86 VMch+VMc; and DC (%)= ?2.24+0.16 VMch; where: CY=real coke yield; VMch = volatile matter content of charging coal; VMc=volatile matter content of coke, and in the case of <2%; DC = deposited carbon. High resolution XPS analysis of chemical functionalised multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) was done with ESCA300 (overall instrument resolution of 0.35 eV). Information to the degree of functionalisation was ascertained by argon ion bombardment of the samples followed by XPS analysis to detect the functional groups, the percentage atomic concentration of various elements present and whether or not the detected functional groups imposed a chemical shift on the CNT atoms. The results show that true chemical functionalisation was achieved and by argon ion bombardment these functional groups can be altered relative to the C 1s carbon atoms of the CNT. The choice of chemicals used for functionalisation, the techniques employed and the types of nanotubes treated are important factors in chemical characterisation. The carbon atom on the nanotube ring to which the functional group (atom) is bonded, the chirality of the CNT, the electronegativity of the functional group, the bond type and whether the CNT is single-wall or multi-wall, or cut (short) could play a role in determining the chemical shift on the CNTs atoms. These investigations are relevant to chemical functionalisation of carbon nanotubes for various applications for example DNA sensors and other biomedical sensors. 相似文献

研究了纳米碳酸钙/N330炭黑并用比对丁苯橡胶性能的影响。结果表明,随着CaCO3/N330并用比的改变,材料的强度有了显著的提高,特别是CaCOa/N330并用比为20/30(质量份)时复合材料的拉伸强度达到了20MPa以上,同时材料具有较好的弹性和较低的硬度;两种处理剂相比,树脂酸处理的碳酸钙具有较好的性能;表面处理的纳米炭酸钙与炭黑并用,可以降低炭黑填充橡胶的动态滞后,表面处理的纳米碳酸钙的加工性能比纳米炭黑好,可以通过并用纳米碳酸钙来改善炭黑胶料的加工性能。 相似文献
