The acidic and basic lectins of the winged bean were isolated from seed extracts by affinity chromatography on lactose-Sepharose 6B and melibiose Bio-Gel P150, respectively. The lectins isolated from six varieties of Psophocarpus tetragonolobus, collected from different regions of south-east Asia, showed no significant differences in their properties; their subunit Mr and amino acid compositions were the same as those of the acidic and basic lectins isolated by non-affinity methods. On isoelectric focusing the affinity purified acidic lectins showed two major protein components (isolectins) while the affinity purified basic lectins had four protein components. The acidic lectins showed a preference for β-D-galactosides and they agglutinated trypsinised human type A, B and O erythrocytes but not trypsinised rabbit erythrocytes. The basic lectins showed a preference for α-D-galactosides and they agglutinated trypsinised rabbit and human type A and B erythrocytes but not trypsinised human type O erythrocytes.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), oriented polypropylene (OPP), polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET film and PET bottle), and polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) were stored in a model solution containing 10 flavor compounds at 4, 20, and 40 °C and flavor absorption by the plastic materials was followed in time. The absorption rate and/or total amount absorbed increased considerably with temperature from 4 to 40 °C. Depending on storage temperature, total flavor absorption by the polyolefins (LLDPE and OPP) was 3 to 2400 times higher than by the polyesters (PC, PET, and PEN). Therefore, in the factor of flavor absorption, polyesters are preferred over polyolefins as packaging material.  相似文献

The presence of chlorophylls in vegetable oils is considered undesirable due to their adverse effects on oxidative deterioration, bleachability and hydrogenation. The usual methods for determination of chlorophylls in vegetable oils are absorption spectrophotometry, fluorometry and liquid chromatography using fluorescence detectors. This paper outlines a fluorometric method using a laser as the excitation source. The chlorophylls in crude palm oil, rapeseed oil, soya bean oil and olive oil were determined directly by laser-based fluorometry using (a) a helium-neon laser (632-8 nm, 5 mW) as the excitation source and an optical-multichannel analyser (OMA) with an intensified diode array as the detector, and (b) a helium-neon laser and a photomultiplier tube as the detector. The method is especially suitable for the detection of chlorophylls in crude palm oil since no pre-extraction step is required. The levels of chlorophylls measured in vegetable oils using the laser technique was also compared against values obtained by conventional spectrophotometric methods. The simplicity and rapid quantification of laser based fluorometry suggest that this technique can be readily applied to the detection or a wide variety of fluorescing species in vegetable oils.  相似文献

Global trade in preserved milks is on the increase as new markets open up in regions of the world that have not been traditionally associated with milk consumption. Equally, a rise in world milk production is forecasted to continue, and the indications are that significant quantities of the extra milk produced will be converted to commodity products such as butter and powders. Consequently, on-going investment in new spray drying capability is likely to track geographical shifts in milk production. Successful application of advanced process control to the operation of large scale drying plant is both a priority and a challenge.
  Meanwhile, opportunities for the exploitation of milk as a source of functional ingredients are being availed of by the dairy industry as it continues to achieve added value and unique key selling points. Recent research on the role of spray drying, along with other processes in the development of dairy ingredients for applications in chocolate and the preparation of microencapsulated powders, is reviewed.  相似文献

鲁酒整体上可分为浓香型粮食白酒、芝麻香型白酒和大众白酒。浓香型粮食白酒的风格特点有别于四川浓香型白酒,年产量近30万吨。四大酯的量比关系不同,川酒己乳比在1:0.65,鲁酒的己乳比在1:0.8;川酒突出己酸乙酯,窖香浓郁、香好,而鲁酒的风格则是窖香淡雅、醇和绵甜、顺柔爽净,味好。芝麻香型白酒则是鲁酒风格的典型代表,为全国白酒十大香型之一,典型代表酒是景芝白干。分两大流派:一是淡雅型芝麻香,特别是口感清正淡雅、爽净、芝麻香幽雅。以景芝白干、景阳神为代表;二是窖香型芝麻香。特点是窖香幽雅,绵甜醇和。芝麻香突出。以水浒特曲108为代表。大众白酒是鲁酒的优势产品。也是山东的传统酒。特点是口味纯正、香味协调、绵甜爽净,以国家优质酒坊子白酒为代表。  相似文献
