EFFECT OF THE HOLDING TEMPERATURE ON THE SOLIDIFICATION PROCESSING OF CAST Al-Mg-Al2O3COMPOSITES

The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of varying the holding temperature on the solidification processing of cast Al-Al₂O₃composites. The other process parameters such as geometry, size and location of the stirrer, and the procedure of stirring have been maintained so as to get maximum particle recovery, minimum volume of porosity, and relatively homogeneous distribution of particles along the height of the ingot. Such an understanding can provide insight into the problems of controlling the particles and porosity distribution in a cast composite ingot. The results show that the particle recovery and porosity content are significantly affected by the variation of the holding temperature. The study shows that an increase in the holding temperature of the alloy to achieve a fully molten condition results in considerable segregation indicated by the difference in particle distribution between the bottom, middle, and top of the cast ingot. In addition, the study shows that the morphology of the matrix is significantly influenced by its particle content. Moreover, the study shows that the volume of porosity along the height of the ingot is affected by the variation of the holding temperature.

简述了我国特种设备安全技术规范系统及TSG R6003--2006《压力容器压力管道带压密封作业人员考核大纲》颁布的意义和内容,指出本大纲中出现的术语不统一、内容不协调、适用范围不肯定及选词不当,给出了具体的修改意见。阐述了用“密封注剂”取代“密封剂”术语的根据和必要性。希望本规范在修订时能充分考虑这些建议,使本考核大纲日臻完善。
