Inverse solution for a biochemical heat source in a porous medium in the presence of natural convection

The inverse problem approach by conjugate gradient with adjoint equations is adapted to the context of a non-isothermal bioprocess, controlled by internal heat generation from microbial oxidation, as could be found in a composting reactor for instance, to determine the heat source from internal temperature measurements. The volumetric heat source is assumed proportional to the rate of consumption of a substrate by a biomass, as described by a Monod model. Computations are performed for Rayleigh numbers equal to 0.25 and 25, for a representative biochemical reaction under typical boundary conditions, for constant and temperature-dependent model parameters. The influence of noisy input data is also considered. It is found that good solutions can be obtained when heat release and diffusion occur over very different time scales. The variation of the model parameters with temperature must be taken into account, but single sensor solutions are possible at relatively small Rayleigh numbers when convection is present.

MACROPROCESS OF PARTICLE FORMATION IN SUSPENSION POLYMERIZATION OF STYRENE WITH INORGANIC STABILIZER SYSTEM

The macroprocess of particle formation from suspension droplets of styrene in a pdymerizationsystem was investigated.Inorganic hydroxyapatite or its mixture with polyvinyl alcohol as thepolymerization system was used.Those items such as the effects of the Weight fraction of dispersed-phase,the amount of the inorganic stabilizer and the agitation speed on the breakup and coalescence of thetransient dispersed drops etc.Were examined.Results showd that the dynamic behavior of the transi-ent polymer droplets changed in the presence of the suspension stabilizer during the reaction.     

A comprehensive approach to evaluating watershed models for predicting river flow regimes critical to downstream ecosystem services

Selection of strategies that help reduce riverine inputs requires numerical models that accurately quantify hydrologic processes. While numerous models exist, information on how to evaluate and select the most robust models is limited. Toward this end, we developed a comprehensive approach that helps evaluate watershed models in their ability to simulate flow regimes critical to downstream ecosystem services. We demonstrated the method using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), the Hydrological Simulation Program–FORTRAN (HSPF) model, and Distributed Large Basin Runoff Model (DLBRM) applied to the Maumee River Basin (USA). The approach helped in identifying that each model simulated flows within acceptable ranges. However, each was limited in its ability to simulate flows triggered by extreme weather events, owing to algorithms not being optimized for such events and mismatched physiographic watershed conditions. Ultimately, we found HSPF to best predict river flow, whereas SWAT offered the most flexibility for evaluating agricultural management practices.

介绍了水煤浆添加剂结构特征对煤成浆性能影响的研究情况及新型高效添加剂的研究进展。目前制浆添加剂主要分为阴离子表面活性剂和非离子表面活性剂;我国与国外的水煤浆添加剂技术相比,还存在一定的差距,特别是分散降粘性质方面,高效、价廉、适用性广的添加剂为数并不多。     

SSI:一种IPv6/IPv4多址同源识别模型

IPv6/IPv4共存环境下多址同源识别是共存网络管理与拓扑发现的一个关键问题。现有研究主要集中于子网内部的双栈发现及单一IP协议栈中的别名解析,难以识别远程IPv6/IPv4共存网络中的多址同源。通过分析同源地址间的本质联系,提出一种IPv6/IPv4多址同源识别模型(SSI),该模型综合利用特殊地址格式匹配、TCP时钟指纹比对和上层协议短时致瘫等多种方式来提高同源地址的识别能力。实验结果表明,上述方法均可有效识别IPv6/IPv4多址同源;SSI模型具有较理想的识别率和正确率。     

化工企业实现清洁生产的策略评述

概述了世界银行推进中国清洁生产项目中１０家化工企业的清洁生产审计结果，总结分析了化工企业实行污染预防持续发展的策略，并对我国化学工业实现清洁生产提出了具体建议。
