Solvent assisted spreading of CoO over monolayer MoO3/Al2O3 catalysts has been studied. CoCO3 · Co(OH)2 and CoCO3 reacted with MoO3/Al2O3 in water slurries. CoO deposition over MoO3/Al2O3 extrudates was followed by EPMA. In the set of eleven MoO3/Al2O3 catalysts, the amount of CoO adsorbed was roughly proportional to the surface area of MoO3 monolayer. The adsorbed Co species efficiently enhanced the HDS activity. 相似文献

steam reforming of natural gas or naphtha. For the optimized adsorption conditions of PSA, the characteristics of adsorption/desorption
characteristics have been studied through breakthrough and desorption experiments under various conditions. The purge-to-feed
ratio is important to the H2 product purity only at a long adsorption step time. H2 could be concentrated from 70% in the feed to 99.99% at H2 recovery of 67.5%. The results of all five steps in PSA are successfully predicted by the LDF model considering an energy
balance and nonlinear isotherm. For the model, the effective diffusivities (D,) are obtained separately from the uptake curves

Experiences applying standards in personal health devices (PHDs) show an inherent trade-off between interoperability and costs (in terms of processing load and development time). Therefore, reducing hardware and software costs as well as time-to-market is crucial for standards adoption. The ISO/IEEE11073 PHD family of standards (also referred to as X73PHD) provides interoperable communication between PHDs and aggregators. Nevertheless, the responsibility of achieving inexpensive implementations of X73PHD in limited resource microcontrollers falls directly on the developer. Hence, the authors previously presented a methodology based on patterns to implement X73-compliant PHDs into devices with low-voltage low-power constraints. That version was based on multitasking, which required additional features and resources. This paper therefore presents an event-driven evolution of the patterns-based methodology for cost-effective development of standardized PHDs. The results of comparing between the two versions showed that the mean values of decrease in memory consumption and cycles of latency are 11.59% and 45.95%, respectively. In addition, several enhancements in terms of cost-effectiveness and development time can be derived from the new version of the methodology. Therefore, the new approach could help in producing cost-effective X73-compliant PHDs, which in turn could foster the adoption of standards. 相似文献

Extreme-scale computing is set to provide the infrastructure for the advances and breakthroughs that will solve some of the hardest problems in science and engineering. However, resilience and energy concerns loom as two of the major challenges for machines at that scale. The number of components that will be assembled in the supercomputers plays a fundamental role in these challenges. First, a large number of parts will substantially increase the failure rate of the system compared to the failure frequency of current machines. Second, those components have to fit within the power envelope of the installation and keep the energy consumption within operational margins. Extreme-scale machines will have to incorporate fault tolerance mechanisms and honor the energy and power restrictions. Therefore, it is essential to understand how fault tolerance and energy consumption interplay. This paper presents a comparative evaluation and analysis of energy consumption of three different rollback-recovery protocols: checkpoint/restart, message logging and parallel recovery. Our experimental evaluation shows parallel recovery has the minimum execution time and energy consumption. Additionally, we present an analytical model that projects parallel recovery can reduce energy consumption more than 37% compared to checkpoint/restart at extreme scale. 相似文献

Novel Lu-α-SiAlON ceramics were produced by hot pressing mixtures of Si3 N4 , Lu2 O3 , AlN, and Al2 O3 at 1950°C for 2 h in a nitrogen atmosphere. The resultant SiAlON was fully dense and possessed a uniform, equiaxed microstructure with a grain size of ∼1 μm, which resulted in a high hardness of >19 GPa. In addition to high hardness, the sample showed very high optical transparency in the visible light region, with >70% transmission at higher wavelengths. This high transparency was attributed to the uniform, dense microstructure and lack of residual grain-boundary phase. 相似文献

NiO nanoparticle-coated lead zirconate titanate (PZT) powders are successfully fabricated by the heterogeneous precipitation method using PZT, Ni(NO3 )2 ·6H2 O, and NH4 HCO3 as the starting materials. The amorphous NiCO3 ·2Ni(OH)2 ·2H2 O are uniformly coated on the surface of PZT particles. XRD analysis and the selected-area diffraction (SAD) pattern indicate that the amorphous coating layer is crystallized to NiO after being calcined at 400°C for 2 h. TEM images show that the NiO particles of ∼8 nm are spherical and weakly agglomerated. The thickness of the nanocrystalline NiO coating layer on the surface of PZT particle is ∼30 nm. 相似文献

Catalytic activity of a 1 wt% Au/TiO2 catalyst is markedly improved by loading a large amount of FeOx, on which the oxidation of CO in excess H2 is selectively promoted at temperature lower than 60 °C. Oxidation of CO with O2 on the FeOx/Au/TiO2 catalyst is markedly enhanced by H2, and H2O moisture also enhances the oxidation of CO but its effect is not so large as the promotion by H2. We deduced that activation of Au/TiO2 catalyst by loading FeOx is not caused by the size effect of Au particles but a new reaction path via hydroxyl carbonyl intermediate is responsible

Ti-containing mesoporous catalysts were prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of TiCl4 on silica MCM-41 in the 700–900 °C temperature range. These samples were characterized (with XRD, ICP, nitrogen adsorption, FT-IR, ESCA, and TEM) and evaluated for the epoxidation of propylene with two alkyl hydroperoxides. The increase of CVD temperature resulted in the decrease of titanium content, catalyst hydroxyl population, crystallinity, and surface area. Catalyst selectivity to the desired product – propylene oxide – was highly sensitive to the deposition temperature. The best Ti/MCM-41 catalyst was prepared at the temperature of 800 °C, which had the maximum propylene oxide yield of 94.3%. 相似文献
