Rather severe parametric uncertainties and uncertain nonlinearities exist in the dynamic modeling of a parallel manipulator driven by pneumatic muscles. Those uncertainties not only come from the time-varying friction forces and the static force modeling errors of pneumatic muscles but also from the inherent complex nonlinearities and unknown disturbances of the parallel manipulator. In this paper, a discontinuous projection-based adaptive robust control strategy is adopted to compensate for both the parametric uncertainties and uncertain nonlinearities of a three-pneumatic-muscles-driven parallel manipulator to achieve precise posture trajectory tracking control. The resulting controller effectively handles the effects of various parameter variations and the hard-to-model nonlinearities such as the friction forces of the pneumatic muscles. Global reliability sensitivity (GRS) analysis can measure the effect of random inputs on failure probability (FP). To efficiently solve GRS, two conditional probability theorem (CPT)-based methods are proposed by combining adaptive Kriging (AK) with importance sampling (IS) (CPT-AK-IS) and combining AK with Meta-IS (CPT-AK-Meta-IS) respectively. Firstly, differentiation approximation and CPT are used to convert the estimation of conditional probability density function (PDF), which is required by the existing Bayes theorem-based methods, into that of a series of probabilities. Secondly, GRS can be directly estimated by the failure samples of IS, while the existing Bayes theorem methods based on IS need to transform the failure samples of IS into those of original PDF. Both the first and second strategies can reduce the computational complexity of solving GRS. Thirdly, by selecting a suitable differentiation interval with a proposed adaptive strategy, the estimation of a series of probabilities can be accurately completed as a byproduct of one IS based simulation for solving FP without additional computational cost. Finally, by introducing AK into IS and Meta-IS, it can reduce the number of evaluating performance function and the size of candidate sample pool simultaneously. Approximate dynamic programming (ADP) formulation implemented with an adaptive critic (AC)-based neural network (NN) structure has evolved as a powerful technique for solving the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equations. As interest in ADP and the AC solutions are escalating with time, there is a dire need to consider possible enabling
factors for their implementations. A typical AC structure consists of two interacting NNs, which is computationally expensive. In this paper, a new architecture, called the ‘cost-function-based single network adaptive critic (J-SNAC)’ is presented, which eliminates one of the networks in a typical AC structure. This approach is applicable to a wide class of nonlinear systems in engineering. In order to demonstrate the benefits and the control synthesis with the J-SNAC, two problems have been solved with the AC and the J-SNAC approaches. Results are presented, which show savings of about 50% of the computational costs by J-SNAC while having the same accuracy levels of the dual network structure in solving for optimal control. Furthermore, convergence of the J-SNAC iterations, which reduces to a least-squares problem, is discussed; for linear systems, the iterative process is shown to reduce to solving the familiar algebraic Ricatti equation. 相似文献

Acceptance, utility, and usability of system designs have become a focal interest in human–computer interaction (HCI) research, yet at present there is a lack detailed understandings of which system design features influence them. The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of five product design features; customization, adaptive behavior, memory load, content density, and speed on user preference through an experimental study by using conjoint analysis. In experimental study, instead of classical conjoint cards, prototypes were generated for products. Besides, desirability and market segments of product prototypes were identified. In line with the results, among the five product design features, speed is the most and customization is the least important features that affect user preference. Contrary to the expectations, customization has a relatively small importance value in this research. Subsequent design features that influence user preference after speed are minimal memory load, adaptive behavior, and content density, respectively. According to findings, interfaces that have high-speed, minimal memory load, adaptive behavior, low content density, and customization features are more preferable than those that do not. 相似文献

In this paper, we present a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model to evaluate the competence of the firms. According to the competence-based theory reveals that firm competencies are recognized from exclusive and unique capabilities that each firm enjoy in marketplace and are tightly intertwined within different business functions throughout the company. Therefore, competence in the firm is a composite of various attributes. Among them many intangible and tangible attributes are difficult to measure. In order to overcome the issue, we invite fuzzy set theory into the measurement of performance. In this paper first we calculate the weight of each criterion through adaptive analytic hierarchy process (AHP) approach (A3) method, and then we appraise the performance of firms via linguistic variables which are expressed as trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. In the next step we transform these fuzzy numbers into interval data by means of α-cut. Then considering different values for α we rank the firms through TOPSIS method with interval data. Since there are different ranks for different α values, we apply linear assignment method to obtain final rank for alternatives. 相似文献
