Fe3+ doped together with Au deposited TiO2 (Au/Fe3+–TiO2) was successfully prepared, which shows excellent photocatalytic activity for degradation of methyl orange (MO) under both
UV and visible light (λ > 420 nm) illumination. Fe3+ has been confirmed by EPR to substitute for Ti4+ in the TiO2 lattice, and Au exists as Au0 on the surface of the photocatalyst indicated by the results of XRD. Fe3+ and Au have synergistic effects on improving the photocatalytic activity of TiO2. A proposed mechanism concerning the synergistic effects is discussed to explain the improvement of the photocatalytic activities. 相似文献

Solvent free oxidation of benzyl alcohol was investigated in the absence of a base using Au catalysts prepared by sol immobilization on titania and carbon supports. Comparison between the Au supported catalysts revealed that activity and distribution of products was dependent on the nature of support and heat treatment. Specifically, heat pre-treatment of the Au catalysts has a beneficial effect in terms of activity, but is detrimental in terms of selectivity to the benzaldehyde. We conclude that sol immobilization is a suitable technique for preparing gold catalysts with small particle size and narrow particle size distributions and very high activity and selectivity for benzyl alcohol oxidation. 相似文献

A novel technique of immobilizing indicator dyes by electrostatic adsorption and covalent bonding to fabricate optical sensors
was developed. 3-Amino-9-ethylcarbazole (AEC) was attached to the outmost surface of quartz glass slide via aminosilanizing
the slide, crosslinking chitosan, adsorbing Au nanoparticle, self-assembling HS(CH2)11OH, and coupling AEC. Thus, an AEC-immobilized optical sensor was obtained. The sensor exhibits a wide linear response range
from 7.0×10−7 to 1.0×10−4 mol/L and a correlation coefficient of 0.995 9 for the detection of 2-nitrophenol. The detection limit and response time
of the sensor are 1.0×10−7 mol/L and less than 10 s, respectively. The fluorescence intensity of the used sensor can be restored to the blank value
by simply rinsing with blank buffer. A very effective matrix for immobilizing indicator dye is provided by the proposed technique,
which is adaptable to other indicator dyes with amino groups besides AEC.

Copper deposition in the presence of an organic additive (3-mercaptopropionic acid, MPA) was studied by cyclic voltammetry and in situ scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and the results are compared to those for additive-free solutions. It is shown that underpotential deposition (upd) of copper onto a fully MPA-covered electrode produces a defect-rich substrate, but the defects are blocked by the dense organic film for bulk deposition, resulting in a low number of nuclei. A grain-refining effect of MPA, however, was found, when Cu deposition was initiated shortly after addition of MPA to the solution, i.e., for a low-coverage MPA adlayer. 相似文献

Gold(Au) nanoparticles were prepared on Au-fi lm-coated K9 glass and silicon substrates by direct current(DC) magnetron sputtering and thermal annealing treatment. The effects of substrate material, annealing temperature, and time on morphologies of Au nanoparticles were investigated, and the formation mechanism of Au nanoparticles was discussed. The experimental results indicate that silicon substrate is more suitable for the formation of Au nanoparticles. On a silicon substrate, Au nanoparticles formed with good spherical shapes at temperature over 700 ℃. It was also found by spectral analysis that the fi eld enhancement factor of the island-shaped Au particles was smaller than that of the granular Au particles; the better the spherical shape as well as the smaller the size and spacing of Au particles, the higher the light absorption rate; the absorption peak had a red shift with increasing particle size and spacing. 相似文献

研究了一种基于聚硫堇/纳米金复合材料修饰电极对NO2-的电催化氧化。相对于裸玻碳电极,聚硫堇-纳米金协同催化效应使NO2-的氧化电流增强,过电位降低。详细讨论了聚合膜的厚度、纳米金吸附时间、pH缓冲介质、pH值以及干扰离子对NO2-氧化电流的影响。在最优实验条件下,测得NO2-的线性范围为3.0×10^-6~1.0×10^-3 mol/L,检测限为1.0×10^-6 mol/L。该修饰电极具有灵敏度高、稳定性和重现性好、抗干扰能力强的特点,可用于实际样品中NO2-含量的测定,结果满意。 相似文献

Nanorods of S2− rich CdS were synthesized by a reaction of excess S versus Cd precursors in the presence of ethylene diamine. The photoluminescence
(PL) emission from the S2− rich CdS nanorods was broad with a peak at ∼710 nm, which was 40 nm longer in wavelength than the PL peak from Cd2+ rich CdS (∼670 nm) nanorods. The influence of surface electron or hole trap states on the luminescent pathway of CdS nanorods
will be discussed to explain these shifts in wavelength. Nanocrystals of Au ∼2 nm in size were grown on S2− rich surfaces of CdS nanorods. Significant luminescence quenching was observed from the Au nanocrystals on the CdS nanorods
due to interfacial charge separation. Change separation by the Au nanocrystals on the CdS resulted in enhanced photocatalytic
degradation of Procion red mix-5B (PRB) dye in an aqueous solution under UV light irradiation. 相似文献
