This study addresses classification methodology for the automatic inspection of a range of defects on the surface of glass substrates in thin film transistor liquid crystal display glass substrate manufacturing. The proposed methodology consisted of four stages: (1) feature extraction by calculating the wavelet co-occurrence signature from the substrate images, (2) handling of imbalanced dataset using the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling TEchnique (SMOTE), (3) reduction of the feature's dimension by principal component analysis, and (4) finally choosing the best classifier between three different methods: Classification And Regression Tree (CART), Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and Support Vector Machine (SVM). In training the SVM and MLP classifiers, the simulated annealing algorithm was used to obtain the optimal tuning parameters for the classifiers. From the industrial case study, the proposed feature extraction algorithm could remove the defect-irrelevant image features and SMOTE increased the accuracy of all three methods. Furthermore, the optimized SVM and MLP models were more accurate than the CART model whereas a higher accuracy of 89.5% was observed for the proposed SVM model. 相似文献

Defining appropriate pricing strategy for smart environment is important and complex task at the same time. It holds the primal fraction in Demand Response (DR) program. In our work, we devise an incentive based smart dynamic pricing scheme for consumers facilitating a multi-layered scoring rule. The proposed strategy characterizes both incentive based DR and price based DR programs facilities. This mechanism is applied between consumer agents (CA) to electricity provider agent (EP) and EP to Generation Company (GENCO). Based on the Continuous Ranked Probability Score (CRPS), a hierarchical scoring system is formed among these entities, CA–EP–GENCO. As CA receives the dynamic day-ahead pricing signal from EP, it will schedule the household appliances to lower price period and report the prediction in a form of a probability distribution function to EP. EP, in similar way reports the aggregated demand prediction to GENCO. Finally, GENCO computes the base discount after running a cost-optimization problem. GENCO will reward EP with a fraction of discount based on their prediction accuracy. EP will do the same to CA based on how truthful they were reporting their intentions on device scheduling. Nowadays, final products often encompass a certain intelligence therein to deal with variation or lack of precision in the sensing input data. This intelligence is usually acquired via the utilization of existing soft techniques, such as artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms and fuzzy control, among others. Thus, it is profitable to have on-the-shelf shell scalable and adaptive hardware designs that implement these soft techniques. This availability allows for an immediate embedding of any of those designs onto final products. This usually entails a reduced time-to-market of the product. Process control is one of the many applications that took advantage of the fuzzy paradigm. In general, controllers are embedded into the controlled device. This paper presents a novel design of a reconfigurable efficient parallel architecture to implement fuzzy controllers on hardware with almost no design effort for final users. The proposed architecture is herein proven suitable for embedding. It is customizable, so it allows the setup and configuration of the controller parameters, and hence its use for any problem application.
